Both videos they demonstrated improper use of the hook to strap connection. there is still supposed to be a D ring around the strap or tree saver if you prefer, then set the hook on the D-ring. If the hook is the correct shape, you actually have to run the shaft through the hook and the end close enough it won't come off anyway. Warn makes their hooks to fit the 3/4" shaft just like that. You guys that have wheeled with me have seen me hook up in just this manner. Smittybilt does not have their hooks designed this way, they like to use a large end design with that infamous retainer clip.

 

Bud. Its marketing. They want to sell their product not convince you that a 200$ hunk of aluminum is a waste of money. And if you want a warn hook for your winch i have 3 laying around. You can have one.

I love spell checkers on tw. They are so nice. Except they only point it out after i post it Wish they could have told me before hand though.

In all seriousness man, spelling and grammar and still very important even in today's internet era. I joke around correcting your mistakes on here, which yes, don't really matter, but make a grammatical error on a resume while looking for a job after you finish up college and it can seriously hurt you.



Or, in the case of engineers, when everyone else has grammatical errors, and you have none, it could really help you.

 

I really wish i could, trust me. But im still working on getting other things back first before i can think about that. Math and all that stuff is all i am doing in classes so that stuff i need to focus on. I wish i could remember more then just how to spell and what to use when. But hopefully it comes back and improves with time...
