^ My experience with a TRD SS in a 2014. The install procedure hasn't changed in 2nd gens, but I hear you *may* need to cut a little tab of metal out in some earlier models to get a driver on one of the bolts.

Not sure if that would have been a deal breaker for me or not, but it's a five-minute job to remove the console and figure out if you can get to the bolt in question or not.

hey guys ended up doing the epoxy to fix the loose shifter. i just used the best jb weld i could find and couldn't be happier with the outcome. i didn't go super heavy with it so i could minimize tranny vibrations and such but the feel is better than it came stock imo. thanks for all the help. i might be asking some more SS questions. I'm looking into the urd kit for $110. seems legit. thanks again.

Reviving this thread to find out how this fix has held up over the years...

While replacing my clutch last weekend and during reinstalling the shifter the lever tower fell apart and the internal rubber bushings fell out allowing the tower to spin loosely and wabble. I was stunned at the malfunction. Although I did find that I like the shorter tower height and was thinking about JB Welding it back together at the new height. I already have the URD SS installed.

    Thoughts?
