Post your 1st gen REGULAR CAB tacoma

Youre definitely accepted into the cool kid club!! I even used to have one of those trucks too! I had a green 94 reg cab with the 3.slow along with my two tacos! I really liked that truck too and that motor never really gave me any fits even though it carried a bad rep... I ended up selling the 94 to fund the gear change and air locker purchase and install for "whitey"

So you had a regular cab pickup and 2 regular cab Tacomas all at the same time? I concede. You win the regular cab war.

 

I did but it wasnt for very long. I knew i was gunna sell the 94 to help build whitey. I had the 3 of them all together for maybe 3 months or so... it was lame to have to sell a whole pickup just to outfit another one with a few parts though...wish i coulda just kept the 94 as a spare offroad truck cause my other taco is strictly my commuter rig.

 

Nice rig. What is the story with the wheels? I know guys that have scoured the internet looking for center caps for those. I didn't think they ever threw them on regular cabs.

 

I'm not sure what the deal is with the wheels? I call them Ferrari wheels cause they look similar. As for the centers? I have no idea what or where the centers that came with the wheels are at? I was thinking of spray bombing the hubs with a black satin and calling it good.

 

They are OZ Racing Wheels made just for Toyota. I want to say they were dealer options in ~2001-2003.

My 97 2wd 5 lug with Downey 6 inch mid travel kit. Soon to be a 6lug 4x4. Over 300 thousand miles payed $9k out the door brand new October 23 1996.

 

I would do the same. Those wheels look better without the center caps.

 

Are you transplanting the body onto the 6 lug 4X4 chassis?

 

Yeah. It took me all summer to collect the parts. Next week I will start moving everything across.

That chalky paint can be restored with minimal dollars but plenty of elbow grease. Here is my 1993 pickup that was stored outside for 20+ years after lots of Meguiar's rubbing compound and polish.

 

After a few hours of wrenching yesterday.

 

Here is mine. 1995.5 Tacoma sx. 2.7 4x4. Swapped the gears from 3.58 to 4.30 with the elocker. Rsx bucket seats. Ammo can center console. (Rest of mods are on my profile). Thanks!

 

Nice tires. I'm running the same tread. 255/75/17 6ply? Got mine off a brand new Jeep owner who did custom wheels and tires.
