Hmm....yeah dude, that's quite the pickle....You should probably move to Manchester, haha. Seriously, then you could get downtown in 2 minutes, walk to the stadiums, access every major artery in/out of the city fairly easy, and have the benefit of people thinking it's still a dangerous area, so there are plenty of deals to be had for those wanting to live in the city, though prices are catching up to the war streets, and some of the East End neighborhoods. That's great for me if I want to sell my current home, but not so great because all the places that I'd consider upgrading to in the neighborhood are all going somewhere north of $360-$400k :-(

The only way I can think of would be for you to go from downtown, to the north side, driving down 65 and over through the Rocks. Traffic moving that way is also atrocious, and all that backtracking would just cost you more time.

.....at least it's a change of scenery?

Man, you go through tires with a fury! I do like the look of the Falken's, and the price is a steal assuming they make the grade.

Can you post some pics of your set-up? Since I'm not ready to make the jump to 285 yet, and there isn't a 275/70/17 that doesn't weigh less than 800lbs, I'm shooting for the meanest looking 265 A/T that doesn't ride like shit or sound like a Mexican Space shuttle cruising down the road. The Wrangler Duratracs have stellar reviews, but that price is notably higher than the rest. If the overall experience makes that premium worth it, I'm all in!

The General Grabber AT2's seem to resemble the Duratrac's the closest(well, sorta), but they only go for a fraction of the price. Can anyone comment on them in the long-term? Any significant difference between the two, thus making it's purchase the clear choice?

If there are any other options I may not have mentioned or thought about, please feel free to toss more ideas into the fold. I have 4 weeks(give or take), to figure this out!

If I could afford that it would be nice. Unfortunately my current budget is for much less than that haha
Not a bad idea but it would probably take me just as much time to get home considering how far away that is haha

Normally I make sure to leave by 3 and then continue wfh but I had a 2 hour in person meeting until 5 yesterday and will have the same thing today.

Mine are quiet for the most part. They were very quiet for the first 20-25k. I've got about 30k on them now, and they drone somewhat at speed. Still nowhere near the noise a mud terrain tire would make though.

Here's a picture with the Duratracs installed before and after my 2" lift.

I had Duratracs on my old truck. Gave them away when I got rid of the truck and the new owner said he had to replace one due to the sidewall having a hole in it. They had maybe 8k miles at most. Just something to look out for. They were perfectly fine on my truck on and off road and I can't tell you how he treated them but just figured I would throw it out there.

They start at $27k, so not much more than your truck was new.

yup a base 4wd Tacoma is pretty close to a WRX, and any TRD is pretty close to a STi.

Thats why i couldn't pass mine up 100% stock from a 65 year old guy, used it as a daily driver and then traded for a 2015 wrx.

100% stock and I don't really abuse it. I've never bounced it off redline or held it at high throttle. It moves plenty fine without doing anything like that.
