If you guys could lend me some advice I'd appreciate it. Currently running KO2s in a 265/75/16, load range E on a stock 2016 TRD OR DCSB. Once I get my suspension done ~2", I'd like to move up to a slightly larger diameter tire, staying with a 16" rim. This either leaves me at a 285/75/16 or 255/85/16. My main concern is unnecessary weight, which is what I'm dealing with right now. 80% on road, 20% off. Been considering Duratracs, Cooper S/T Maxx, Toyo Open Country A/T. Anyone have a suggestion or previous experience? I'm really just trying to avoid a dramatic mpg loss while still getting max performance.

I know that I'm the minority on here who likes to keep to the stock size. Part of the reason is the horse trailer I pull, and not wanting to lose any stock gearing. I chose Duratracs, and got them in an SL. 265/65/17. So far they're great. Not too noisy, and with more tread depth than most. Some have complained about grip in winter conditions, but I live in a snow belt, and I run winter tires from November to the end of March.

I'm also sticking with stock wheels (SR) wheels and I am running 265/75/16, and I'm just wondering what other size tired I can go with. I know 285/75/16 and 255/85/16 I've looked into I have 3" lift are there other tire sizes out there that I could use.

Nice List "Trail". I'm a Mickey Thompson guy have just about all of them on different vehicles that I've had throughout my life. They work well in all types of terrain. Currently have STZ,perferred ATZ's. But didnt come w white lettering and a lot noiser. (Turning into an old man) I f you hadn't lifted the truck I wouldn't go any higher than 265 w 16" simply because you might have issues with the ABS module and possibly TPMS. I currently have 265 70 R16 Mickey Thompson stz on my truck. My vehicle now is 3 miles an hour slower then w stock 235 r16 tires and my tire pressure is 29 in the front and 32 in the rear and it's within specs of the TPMS pressure specs. Rides nice was a little bouncy first 1000 miles good now,at 7000 miles later. There is a website that Toyota puts out specifically for Tacoma tires it'll tell you how far you can what's 16 inch tires. Because your lifted you don't have to worry about rubbing only thing you have to worry about is weather in trucks sensors will work with the tires you choose. Again I really wouldn't even worry about that but just keep it in mind.

Dont 100% know the reliability of these tires but they are the cheapest tires I have found anywhere, the reviews are great overall with some saying its not a great handle in raining conditions. But they are achilles desert hawk x-mt!!!

What's going on everyone! Newbie here, and I just recently picked up a 14 4x4 Taco SR5. Im looking for new tires! Not sure what I need but I'm looking for an all season for right now. Drive around 500+ miles a week. Any thoughts as to what I should get? I currently have the stock tires that came with the car...

There great. I haven't taken them in the dirt but hopefully soon. They do make some road noise.

08 Dbl cab with AAL and 5100's set on 1.75". I run 265 75 16's with FJ TRD rims. I've tried several tires, Bridgestone Duelers, BFG T/A KO"s, Mickey Thompsons ATZ, and a few El Cheapos and I cant seem to get any life out of them. Maybe driving style, I don't know? The Bridgestone's seemed to last longer than the others but the BFG's have looked better than anything else. There is about $150 a set difference between the two. I'm leaning toward the KO's but my wallet is screaming Duelers. Where is the cheapest place to get the BFG's ? The lowest I've seen is $196.
