OP, no matter what you post on TW you are going to get flamed by someone. Even if your intentions are good. If I were you I would just post what you wanna post and not ever look on this thread again.

 

The TSB is not fixing the shift flair transmission issues that quite a few people are complaining about. Also, a well respected Toyota transmission mechanic (I will leave him nameless to respect him) has found a lot of faulty engineering in the a good share of Aisin transmission valve bodies. The problems, that many are still facing, point to the valve bodies as having flaws.

jhodge, can you "sticky" this thread, as my primary goal was to try to get people together and motivate Toyota to fix a well known issue. I think a lot of people are losing hope, I feel like they are being fleeced, and I really would like to help them get the representation they need. Pooling people together is the only way to really get things done. Thank you.

Great news everyone!! It has been confirmed. There is a new reflash under development.

 

I was seriously looking at buying a 2017 TRD Off Road, but all these tranny issues have me wondering if I should look elsewhere. Does anyone have any idea how frequent this problem is? Is a real fix on te horizon?

 

You forget to tell us what to complain about.

When I call and say, "Toyota, fix my automatic transmission," they are going to ask me what the problem is.
