    I mean the conversion is cool and all, it is MUCH MUCH easier on the 1st gen vs 2nd gen. Personally and i know you hate to hear it, LEAVE IT. seriously, you are going to kill the resale value of your truck as no one wants a piece meal together truck.

    well if you use all toyota parts like i did it brought my resale up dealer was offering me 12000 before and now they want it for 20000

    Till they figure out the truck was initially a 2wd and dont accept it as a trade in at all.

    OK cool, I was under the impression just 12's to 15's where. Thanks for clearing that up. Was your swap relatively easy? What did you have the most trouble with? How long did it take? I'm going to do mine in 2 stages. Small stuff first, then tranny

    it took me 2 days but i also work on cars for a living and i was in no rush . but its better to do it at one time and not in stages

    My buddy is gonna help me do it. He works at a shop too, and built his jeep axles, suspension and what not

    This is way easier and cheaper than most ppl think. Just make sure you get an FJ transfer case.

    Really? Where did you get your parts? @jowybyo may I ask why an fj transfer case?

    OK, so even though the body styles vary, (05-11)(12-15), mechanically its the same?

    Yes, basically only differences are the bumper, grill, headlights and hood. That's why they are still considered 2nd gen.
