    I think they're 4.5" backspace. I don't remember though.

Does anyone run 265 65 17s on these rims. I'm not a big fan of going up a tire size resulting in my butt dyno numbers going in the wrong direction, I like acceleration and do not want to reduce that. Here's the problem the 265 65 17 KO's are heavy E rated vs the 265 70 17 that you can get in C rated and is lighter. Which size would be better for acceleration/mpg?

It looks like almost everyone here is running the 70's on these rims, what do you all know that I don't?

I have 265 70 17s that are E rated. I actually wanted the C rated for the very same reason you stated, but the dealership accidentally installed E rated and I didn't care enough to wait on them to order another set and wait to have them put on (plus they gave me a big discount on the wheels/install). I lost a bit of power in my acceleration, but not so much that it makes for a poor driving experience. My mpg's dropped from about 18 to 16, so there's something to consider there as well.

Good to know mrSMITTY, with a difference like you stated I would be disappointed big time but that's just me. I use my truck a lot and put on about 30k a year so it would bug me, if I only used my truck here and there then no big deal. I'm really torn though, right now I'm running mich defenders and stock rims because of my use but the look is very boring but practical. I'm just trying to get the best of both worlds by putting these rims on and getting a cool looking tire to match without giving up highway performance. BFG's look like the ticket but their so dam heavy.

Looking for new wheels, I'm guessing the eBay deal is over. So any advice on where to get them for a decent price??

If you got the C rated, I imagine you wouldn't experience as much of a dip in mpg and acceleration as I did. I don't put nearly that many miles on my vehicle (14K in my first year owning it), so for me the trade off is worth the look and performance you get from the KO2's.

Does anyone know if these wheels will fit a 2004 Double Cab Tacoma?

Anyone have pictures of them on a Gen 1?

Hey, I want to share some info for you guys (and gals) about these rims and my set up.

So I bought these rims from a local Toyota Dealership about 20 miles away from my house. The closest Toyota dealership would not price match to the online Olathe Toyota price. I had to search around, but I eventually found a dealership that can get me 4 rims for $735 shipped.

This is what the truck looked like beforehand. 2012 Pyrite Mica TRD Sport DCSB. Completely stock, except for upgrade audio. Nothing was done to suspension nor a lift was added.

Got the rims, got the tires (Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 265/70R17) and headed to my buddy's shop. He mounted the rims and tires in under an hour. The stock lug nuts and stock TPMS with valve stem work perfectly from an OEM ALLOY Rim. *Note: bought the 4 tires for $680 shipped... I knew a guy from Progressive Insurance that got me the tires super cheap*

And finally, the after. It looks completely different. Again, stock suspension and no lift. the 265/70R17 tires work perfectly. You do have to take off the little front mudflap in front of the front tires. There is a minor (and when I say minor, I mean minor) rub on the front mudflaps, only when turning in reverse. (Ie: backing out of a driveway onto the street). I am not worried about this rubbing since it is so minor.

As you can see, these rims work perfectly. They will not rub against anything major with 265/70R17. The rims' offset also pushes the tires out about 3/4in to 1in than stock, as you can see. I think these completely transform the truck into a beast.

Again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Also, tell me what you think!!!

Very interesting read for starters it looks great. You should at least do the leveling kit if not save up for a full set up if you wanted to go that route. Luckily for you your tpms worked, I had the steel rims and my tpms did not work. Mine also do rub slightly with the front mud flaps, I removed them just in case. I'm on falken tires and my tires stick just slightly more than your Nitto.

Those look really good Tacoma guy, thanks for the detailed pictures. I'm still not sure I want to go up a size though, why did you go with the 70's over 65's, is it just for looks?

So will it be okay if they stick out this much. It seems like it would be ok?

Are you nose high at 1.75 setting? Did you end up adding anything in the back? AAL or block?

Yes, a little bit nose high. I plan on adding a 3-leaf AAL in the near future to get an extra 1.5 to 2 inches lift in the rear.
