I haven't seen much of Gorman aside from what's on the way coming/going to and from the MJT, but from what I understand Gorman is more of an OHV park with a variety of trails and obstacles...kind of like Rowher. MJT is one particular trail and there's not really any way to avoid the parts of it that make it really difficult.

ugh, yeah I hate that. Pismo was definitely like that lol. The flags didn't really help, trying to spot a tiny orange flag coming up over a dune is next to impossible, at least not before the vehicle is right in your face. Fortunately there weren't any accidents out there this weekend that I know of, but I can see how it probably does happen often.

Yeah, I hear ya. It was an experience and being with the TW group is what really made the trip. It's something I'd like to do as a group maybe annually, but that's probably about as much of Pismo as I could handle. Plus, cleaning out sand is a bitch...I'm still doing it

Definitely hard to see out there. I knew a guy from school who was in Glamis on his bike and got killed by a sand rail hitting him. Definitely had that in the back of my mind when I went out on my bike

I think Danny was referring to Gorman. But Pismo was the same. Good in small doses (like once a year). I got into off-roading to see beautiful things and get away from people. The sound of generators, listening to other peoples noise, having to obey quiet hrs if I'm not ready to be quiet, yadda yadda. All things I want to get far away from. Don't get me wrong, established camping and hitting the same trails over and over has its positives, but the adventure of new landscapes and challenges are what motivates me.

I being ear plugs everytime I camp. I learned quickly that RTTs make a lot of noise in the wind. That mixed with my hyperactive worrying something is wrong makes for a tough nights sleep.

When we were at this spot:

It was somewhat windy and I had a dream that we rolled off the cliff into the canyon. Could not sleep after waking up from that haha

Word. We had ear plugs in Pismo. Been wearing them for years. They helped big time sleeping on the ship in the Navy. I've always worked around screaming industrial equipment so I snatch a handful for home and the trails whenever I need to re-up. I actually have slight hearing loss from a life of loud environments. I barely notice it but when I do my annual heating tests I'm told the tests shows the loss. I can talk at a loud volume at times and that's why. Just tell me to pipe it down if you hear me getting loud. It's likely I'm not aware of it. Haha

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I wouldn't be caught dead with earplugs in while camping.

I'm usually armed with at least one firearm as well.

    At least.

"I wanna go wheelin' with T-Dub this weekend!" is usually met with an eye roll these days.

If I toss in there camping she immediately dives into planning mode,

Have I never told you guys the story of that trip to the Grand Canyon when a random man snuck up on us in the middle of the night?
