I think the value is going to be based on timing. Just takes someone looking and in your color at the same time. When I got mine, that's exactly how it happened. I imagine many don't want to go through the painting thing, so your market is slightly limited by that. It looks nice, so definitely start on the higher end and come down.

It seems like my color is one of the more popular ones, so I've got that going for me. Thanks for the input

OME up front, Dakar in the back, Elite front bumper, Warn winch, Tactical rear bumper with tire swing/jerry cans/hi lift, Revenge Fab. sliders, Tundra brakes, Camburg UCA's, Safari Snorkle, FJ TRD wheels, Lights, CB, Switches, skids, LED's... OH MY!
i also think the DC caps are a little harder to come by and more sought after for this gen. tacoma, thus the higher price sometimes. I have sold a couple, all in the $450-$550 range.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Ive bought and sold two toppers in last 2 years for my reg cab truck. ARE , raised model. Bought $300, sold $400. Raised section wouldn't fit in garage. ARE, cab level. Bought $250, sold $350. I sold the reg cab for a double. Looking for a ARE Mx model. Double cabs are hard to find. At least $650.

I got pretty lucky when I had to get rid of my '96 Tacoma due to roached out frame. I purchased a '99 with 40k miles and had frame inspected by Toyota dealership to confirm frame was solid. They then undercoated entire frame for free and while I was there waiting I noticed another '96 which was impounded due to cracked frame and had a fiberglass topper on it. I asked the service manager what they planned on doing with the topper and he said if I can take it before the car carrier gets there to haul away the Tacoma it's yours. Not a bad deal!

Bacically it is worth whatever someone will pay for it. It's gonna be different depending on location, season, supply, etc. I would buy it if you were local to me. I can't find one in my area.

Shell is located in Texas, but I will be returning to Arkansas this weekend for the fall semester. I could arrange to have someone home in Dallas to let someone look at it.
