Looks like the cop was rounding a corner too fast, maybe hit a curb sideways and rolled. Look outside the pasenger window right before the guy goes out the back window. You can see the greenery and other objects move in a way that suggests he was turning. Dumbass brought it on himself though, but still 1) the cuffs were too loose as he got his hand out, and 2) how did they not find a lighter in his front pocket?

People offroad Subarus all the time. At least the Ridgeline has some clearance.

The Forester has about 8" IIRC, more than the Ridgeline.
That may be true, since the rear left tire appears to be off the ground as well.

Both are around 8 inches. But I've seen people offroading with Impreza and Legacy outbacks, and they're both around 6 inches.

Edit- Remember the old Loyale Wagons? Had a buddy in high school that had one of those and it'd go pretty much anywhere you pointed it. But that long rear overhang meant that you were always dragging the tail on departure.

As a kid when my dad was stationed in Nebraska, our postal carriers delivered in right-hand drive versions of these. With 4 feet of snow and ice, them (and the plows) would be the only things moving. And they were stock, not lifted like this.

    Awesome car.
