That was my thinking. One of the reasons I didn't go with the Anderson connectors. They were pricey.

Installed a 50" OSRAM 4D 480 watt radius light bar on Relentless fab roof mounts. Because... unicorns on the road at night everywhere! I'm such a lousy shot that all the deer around here are unicorns.

It's the one with the military grade (ooooh!-aaaah!) equalization valve to prevent condensation. We'll see if that works. I ran the harness down the driver's side gutter of the windshield and glued it in with a bead of black Permatex RTV adhesive silicone. No need to drill!

Now to move on to the rest of the pile of lighting and electrical. My Pelfreybilt battery cage is on its way from MA this weekend. A Northstar 31M battery will be ordered on Monday and I'll take it from there.

My Pelfreybilt HWM came in two weeks early today. I still need to go pick it up in NY.

2 weeks earlier than the scheduled 27/06/16 shipping date.

... and Tyler Pelfrey says I won't need to mod it very much for the fairlead to exit below my Avid bar. Maybe slot the fairlead bolt holes a little.

    hawse_1_zpsjnw5rceq_0484e8386ae36c81829acad3eabafd7b35894a6a.jpg

I think that I'll paint the Hawse semi-gloss black and co-polymer clear coat it.

I was asked, so here's how I ran the wire for the 50" radius light bar. It's glued into the side rain gutter with Permatex RTV silicone (black).

    Sealed at the top:
    50_LED_wire_2_zpsgfwx5es9_8cfedcc322426bfefe109e25aee45450fa5347ec.jpg

I ran a thick bead down the gutter, pressed the wire in, and wiped off the excess with a wet rag:

... and the wire goes under the hood:
    50_LED_wire_3_zpstzjv0eja_1a2781e2142cb7ba109cda6b74285bc9465570ca.jpg

Nice and stealth... no drilling into the cab. There is very little wind noise at 100 kph (62 mph).

Im really debating between the rims you have and the TRD beadlocks. Decisions, decisions.

The rims have 0 offset, so you may wish to take a cab mount chop into consideration.

I have the plates to do it, but that is on the mod list as well.

Truck looks awesome. Glad you got rid of those batting eyelash headlights in the early posts. I thought you were flirting with me when I first saw those pics.

    LOL... Thanks!

I agree about the eyebrows, besides they were dangerous, as they blocked the signal lamps a little too much.

Smittybilt X20 10,000 lb with synthetic line. It's sitting on the floor of my garage along with the Pelfreybilt HWM, Northstar AGM31M battery, Pelfreybilt battery cage and auxiliary RTMR panel/6 switch OTRATTW set up.

I still have to go to NY to pick up my Big 3 electrical upgrade kit, Relentless ditch light mounts, APEX fog light kit, and what now appears to be an a-walled AirFlow snorkel. I'll do all my electrical at once.

Has anyone seen an AirFlow snorkel trying to periscope its way across Lake Ontario? .... FACK!!%&*(#@!!!

Installed some ditch lights. 20 watt (dual 10w LED's)

    Ditch.jpg

... and APEX fog light brackets with CALI Raised 18w amber LED's

    Apex.jpg

Wifey thinks the fog lights look cool. She doesn't like the roof bar.

Wait till you put the snorkel on. My inlaws think mine looks like a popcorn maker.

Put the truck to work yesterday morning. Hydro One cleared a pole line and left a pile of ash and soft maple. The land owner told me I could clean it up.

I had to bull through a small trail to get to it. It was down the ditch in a wetland that's dry because of the drought. It was nice to have a bed of ground up trees to drive on. No mud!
    truck_wood_1.jpg

That's the county road shoulder that you see in the background just above the trailer. You should have seen the people slowing down to take a look and wondering HTF I got the truck and trailer down there? Wifey and I taking a break. She's 53 and can outwork half the guys that I know. It was only 20C, but the humidity was oppressive and there was no breeze whatsoever.
    truck_wood_2.jpg

We pulled out two loads and dumped them in the work area out back that I cleared years ago. We have a large property.
    wood_pile_1.jpg

I was running out of mixed fuel, so we logged some of the last load. That stack in the background is reserves from last year. We'll move that stack and the ash we got up to the crib by the house, and split/pile the soft maple and stack it here and let it dry for next year.
    wood_pile_2.jpg

... and there is still a trailer load left to go get. It's ironic that I use wood that is available because of Ontario Hydro to heat my home and keep electricity costs down. Ha!

    Awesome... I love free wood!
