I'm looking to add in a sub box into my '98 Prerunner Xtracab, and I was planning on seeing if the cubby hole storage (behind the passenger seat) would be a good place for a custom drop-in enclosed sub box. I was going to replicate the box from and use a low profile sub.

Originally, I was just going to buy this low profile sub and sub box and just throwing it under the passenger seat (if it can fit) or the floor behind the driver's seat.

What would be a better option? The sub in the cubby hole is nice because it saves on space, but there's not much volume in the cubby hole.

Some sundown 8's and a good amount of power in those cubbies will sound good. The thing is with these micro subs is that you don't need a lot of air space to generate good bass still. Sundown makes a great 8" that should fit in there.
