so I have the Cali Raised light bar installed behind the lower grill and have a question about how to swap out the switch that comes with the harness for a push type switch purchased separately.

I have a 5-pin switch that has a short harness coming off of it with 4 wires (green, red, red, and black). I had the light bar hooked up to the original switch that came with the harness prior to running the wire from the relay through the firewall and the bar and switch light worked fine. However when I removed the original switch and tried to hook up the dash mounted push switch, the switch was powered all of the time and the light bar would not turn on.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

What wire colors you have coming in from original Cali harness? The one your adding is: to n fro relay green & red. but could be to pin 85 or 86. Second set of wires red and black is switch illumination. These are guestimates since there are no pics.

Is this the connector going into the cab?

Yes that's what it looks like going into the cab. Below is an image of the switch I purchased on Amazon.

I am assuming the green is ground. The part that's hanging me up is where to run power back to the relay from. A fuse tap or to splice the return wire with a power source (i.e. Ignition line). I am new to auto electrics and want to be sure it's done correctly.

    Thanks,
    B

Well, the plug going in has:
White with fused power coming from your install inside the engine compartment.
Blue is your return actuation power to the relay pin 86. After you press the switch.
    Black is ground.

    For your switch above:
    Green would go to Blue.
Red with yellow to a fused switched (IGN) source. Add-a-circuit fused. If you select an always powered source than remember to turn the switch off.
Red would/should go to dash illumination (+) it's green wire from any dash switch.
Black would/should go to dash illumination (-) it's green with white runner from any dash switch. (If you go to direct ground here, it'll illuminate the switch when TAILS are selected but won't dim with the rest of the dash lights.

I've also been looking for this!

2 Questions- What fuse location (name) did you add the Add-a-Circuit & the fuse box (under hood) right behind battery, right?

    Thanks man!
