I am about to install my ride rites on my 2014 Tacoma. I see where some have experienced air leaks after install. Would it be wise to put pipe dope or other sealer on the push-in air line connectors?

Just make sure any cut lines are cut square and straight and are free of burrs that might damage the O-ring in the connector. Might be able to use a little grease where they meet on the outside of the air line, but I wouldn't put any on the tip of the line that seats into the connector.

Those push-in style fittings are cheap to make and aren't ideal.

I have some Airlift helpers on mine. For some reason there is air leakage at low psi, when I have it at a higher psi, the leak doesn't seem to happen (I did over night tests), but could be that. Also the PTC's... some are cheap but some are okay to use if your not going that high on psi ratings. I still have to switch mine (from the bags) to Alkon ptc's (have had exp with those and have yet to fail me). I have some composite fittings from on my water trap but, but I did a leak test (sprayed Windex) and no bubbling.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
No leaks on mine. I did put pipe dope on the threads of the right-angled fitting that screws into the top of the airbag. It had some red stuff pre-applied to the threads but I didn't trust it. Cut the air line square and push it in firmly. Secure them well to the frame so they don't get pulled/tugged on.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I would lose a pound every couple of months at most. It may have even been based on temperature and not actually a leak.

I used air brake compression fittings for plastic line - they don't leak. Push-in fittings will leak - only a matter of when and how much.
