My order is also a unicorn... ACLB OR MT. Only available in Canada.... so that could be a factor.

 

More bull. Even if the truck is not build you should at least get a build sheet with temp vin and options you ordered

 

The original truck was going to be delivered on 9/2 and now the truck with the correct options will be delivered on 9/23.

I gotta say that I feel really lucky. I went into my local dealer on Father's Day this year specifically looking for the 16 DCSB TRD OffRoad MT. They of course tried to sell me an auto, but I just laughed at em.. They told me they would have one delivered in three weeks. It took 4 weeks, but got it relatively quickly compared to many folks out there. Only thing I had to "settle" on was the color, but I wanted White anyhow.

Does anyone out there know how many MT's have been made? If so, by trim breakdown? Any way to access production stats? I've run some searches online, but no results thus far...

 

Ordered on Wednesday (8/24). Truck is scheduled to be built starting 9/28. Delivery projected mid-late October.

Finally got my 2017. Got lucky and it was two days down from Richmond, VA.

 

Put deposit down 5/25 on dc or mt, built 8/11, arrived at dealer 8/23

 

Got a VIN# today. Truck is on the train, on the way from Texas to Ottawa! Yay!

 

Well I guess I'm playing the waiting game again, received my SR5 Jan 28 and with 3000 miles on her a drunk driver totalled it parked in my sub division August 18. Now waiting for my sport off road to be built. Yes I'm upgrading. Dealer is trying to change one of there last trucks ordered with my options. Hoping factory will accept change and won't have to wait 4 months.

 

Ordered mine on 9/5, dcsb TRD OR inferno with orange interior. Expected delivery sometime from 9/10 - 9/15. Longest wait ever!

Placed order on 8/15. Was called about last week and told Toyota accepted the build request but they haven't gotten the build date yet. Inferno 4x4 OR DCSB w/ premium tech and JBL.

 

hey TW, got a call from my D-ship , got my build sheet, & temp VIN, they will have three 4x4 dcsb off road (2) manual trans, (1) sold, & A/T at my D-ship, on or before 9-27, caint wait !! started buildin today, will post pix in a couple of weeks, GO NOLES

 

at what point is the VIN# assigned?

 

after the allocation request from the dealer is picked up by Toyota the VIN is the first thing assigned before production starts. Toyota is manufacturing these trucks at capacity, so there's a wait before T will even pick up the allocation request. my dealer's request has been in for about 3 weeks with no news, some folks around here have them in for quite a bit more than that, but those delays seemed to be related to Pros, not regular Tacos.. my dealer basically told me the allocation thing goes much faster for regular Tacos compared to Pros.
