I had to crimp some 0 gauge a while back. Ended up not using a vice, but used a butane torch and a ton of solder for the terminals.

Always crip for off road use, the vibrations will crack the solder

Yeah, for off-road use I would crimp it if you can. I wasn't using mine for off-road use. I had it on a Honda Prelude. I used about 3 feet of solder per terminal though.

I didn't even know this San Diego thread existed.

I have a hydraulic crimper if you still need to borrow one. I'm in Lakeside but visit mom in Esco every 3 weeks or so.

I think 2AWG is kinda small for routing to the bed. I would get 1/0AWG. With 2AWG you're gonna lose over half a volt every 10 feet. I'm using 1/0 from alternator to the isolator, and starter, then 2AWG to the batteries. The kit looks nice but pricey; I think I paid that much, total, including a Deka AGM battery and two isolators.

I may take you up on that if I can't figure something out with my tools.

What about this 1/0x20' wire below?
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0161L9LJC/ref=twister_B01CKKDEZA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
    https://www.amazon.com/Crimp-Supply...0161L90MU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

That should be enough to route from the Tundra's engine bay battery, under the frame, and into the rear of the bed against the center of the wall inside the tool chest. Also, do I need to wire a negative 1/0 from the primary battery to the batteries in the bed or can I just ground from the bed batteries to somewhere near? Can the negative wire be a smaller gauge?

I'd say ground it anywhere. 8 gauge would probably be fine.

Be really careful with Amazon wire purchases, a LOT of it is undersized. I just got my girl some 8 gauge for an amp install in her T4R and that stuff seriously was barely 10 gauge. Make sure you read the reviews on Amazon, you will see people reporting sub standard gauges etc.

Crimp Supply is good; most of my wiring came from them. I like the extra lugs they throw in. I also got their military spec battery terminals with covers. Soldering the lugs is preferred to prevent oxidation. Absent that, and this is the route I went, use good quality heat shrink tubing with adhesive. The glue helps seal out moisture, but you need a heat gun. I’ve heard people use a hair dryer, but I got me a Black & Decker heat gun. I got an assortment of heat tubing from Amico and Uxcell, but the best stuff is from Lawrence Marine Products, all available on Amazon. A TW vendor sells soldered battery cables and is confident it holds up the rigors of off-roading. I found the pricing too high and went with the adhesive tubing.

Not connecting the two battery ground terminals to each other is generally frowned upon if you have a high amp drawing device connected to the aux battery. I don’t have such devices but I wired 2AWG to the primary battery ground anyways, and added ground points from the aux battery to both the chassis and engine block. I also replaced the existing 6AWG engine to chassis ground cable with 2AWG; wire was down by the starter. So, if adding ground connections from aux battery to chassis/engine, you can use smaller gauge ground, otherwise use 1/0.

Contact me directly about loaning the crimper.

I was checking out a very nice '16 TRDOR this morning with brand new Faulken's on it, when the owner walked up. We started talking about our trucks and he asked me if I was on TW! :D
Mike, it was great to meet you and I'm sure I'll see you around town.
