No, sorry. I haven't made a matte red one yet. Here is green though, matte vs machined.

Does the back come with the TRD or Taco on the back if you ask for it and is it free or is there a charge associated with it?

Alright guys, so having called dibs on the Matte black one, I got mine early so here's my review-

Initial observation- I LOVE the way it looks compared to their previous design, it also seems pretty light weight and very well made. After getting it all together and driving it around for a day or two I noticed that I had to be pretty close to the truck and hit the button repeatedly to get it to unlock or lock. I thought maybe it was just a dying battery (I let my 1 year old play with the remote and he's usually repeatedly pressing the buttons nonstop so that was a likely source of issue), but I contacted Adam at AJT about my issue and he recommended I replace the battery, which I did and it helped a little, but I was still having to repeatedly press the button sometimes. NBD to me, I still loved it and the truck had never NOT unlocked or locked on me, so I wasn't super upset or anything.

But Adam at AJT bent over backwards for us on this one, he paid for my shipping back to him for the remote, did his little mod, which looks like some copper wire pathed along the inside, (I don't know the details exactly) and I just got it all back together and gave it a test push, and sitting in my garage with the doors closed, I heard my truck beep parked on the other side of the house. I've walked around the house a bit hitting it and still hear the truck beeping as I do it. So bravo to @AJT DESIGN for premiere customer service and an excellent product.

Still not a fan of the shifter knobs, love my Hurst T handle, but you can't win em all!

 

There are several mods out there to increase range. The one it seems he's doing sounds like one where a copper wire is attached to the antenna. Other mods have guys routing a wire from the antenna to an external antenna, like a collapsible one, and standing like 50 yards away.

There are several YouTube videos if you look up Key Fob range mod.

This is what I was going to do when I got mine, but sound like he's on top of it.

 

glad the range problem is worked out. that was one of my only real reservations about buying one.

 

Do we have a ship date yet?

 

Is there a case for the '16 Taco? My fob doesn't look like these...

 

I'm set to order one once they are in stock. Have you considered offering custom engraving on the back for additional fees? Like USMC or something?
