    I know! It's so tempting. I need to go on xru more. I forget I'm on there sometimes. Lol

    Gonna do the IPT TC, maybe Raybestos clutch packs, new fluid obviously all at the same time... then 2.7" pulley and dyno.

    Then back to some other projects I've been neglecting. Headlights, foglights, etc.

    If you remind me on Monday, I can see what kind of price I can get for the OEM TC.

    So the tranny started throwing shift solenoid "b" CEL. I dropped the pan and replaced the solenoid on the VB. Drove fine next 2 test trips. Then the CEL came back. Only then did it start the same not shifting out of 1st gear. Any time I was heavy on the throttle it would hold 1st until rev limiter and just bounce there. I would have to let off the throttle in order to shift to 2nd. Level 10 has helped in diagnosing this the whole way through even though my warranty was up back in January.

    So he goes it has to be something mechanical and not the solenoid even though that's the CEL. So he asked me to pull it and ship it back to him. I'm paying shipping both ways and no more than $300 for him to go through the whole tranny fix it, upgrade anything that has updates since it was built and brand new TC.

    I am usually able to do all this myself but physically I can't right now. So a local shop is pulling it and re-installing it for $565.

    @Torspd chime in with any thoughts please. Also anyone else with input.

    No, when mine went it would still shift throughout all gears, just 2nd was fucked (slip but would handle a small amount of load) as its lube line got blocked. That deal is fantastic I must say.

    Back from a weekend road trip. About 450 miles of mountain passes and hills. All highway. Seems to hang on gears more frequently now. Having to let off the throttle or manually bump it from D to 4, then back to D. Also doesnt seem to like anything under 2500-300 rpm. Otherwise.. Its gutless.

    Im going to go with the IPT TC I think. I just need to start somewhere and see if thats it. Hoping between that, and some new/fill the fluid.. That will help if not fix the issues.

    More research...

    @Torspd @Lucario Runner

    I have been reading some articles to help educate myself and trouble shoot my TC issues. This article lines up with a lot of symptoms I have been experiencing. Makes me feel a bit more confident in swapping the TC out and that it will resolve the issues.

    http://transmissionrepairguy.com/torque-converter-problems/

    Do either of you happen to know the factory Stall Speed for the 1GR-FE and A750f?

    http://auto.howstuffworks.com/under-the-hood/vehicle-maintenance/how-to-test-torque-converter.htm

    I would like to do a test to see if mine is lower. if so, that's one more thing pointing to the TC being bad. Between that, the sound, and my MPG's as of lately, I'm pretty sure its the TC going out in combination with old/low Transmission Fluid. hoping that combo will fix it all.. just gotta figure out the stall speed, and then what stall speed to do on the new TC.
