Maybe or maybe not. Nissan has said many times that the D23 (world Nissan midsized truck) is not destined for North America. There is lots of speculation that Nissan may downsize a version of the Titan for North America to keep things simpler on the assembly line since, at there current sales numbers, both trucks will need to be made on the same line.

Kind of like how the rest of TW feels about the 3rd gen forum.

It's more like flinging "mud" over the wall occasionally than hanging out.

I guess there's not much going on in the other forums so they feel the need to respond no matter what the topic is.

I'm afraid of posting anything in the second gen forum. They scare me

1991 ford Taurus junked at 62K miles. 4 transmissions from the dealer, they admitted there was an issue that they couldn't figure out. Fan belt squealed constantly, again, dealer admitted they couldn't figure it out. According to the dealer, ford knew of the problem, and never issued any kind of resolution. At the last inspection of it's life (NY requires safety inspections every year) It failed for about $2000 worth of front end repairs My parents had enough, donated it to the HS shop class. Mind you all the above work was done under warranty, never cost them a cent, just wasn't worth the headache anymore. It seems those cars either lasted forever or fell apart relatively quickly. Not to mention they are hideously ugly lol.

I ignore the 2nd gen forum, doesn't pertain to me because I was never interested in that truck so I have nothing to add. I post in the 1st and 3rd gens because I have them.

I like the 2nd gen a lot, some features more than the 3rd. I also love 1st gens but like you said, I own neither. Some people just love to sit in their mothers basement all alone and stir the pot. They aren't worth your blood pressure.

Meh, I add information when it's pertinent. A member posted the new world Nissan truck and instigated it may be coming to North America. Nissan has categorically denied that to this point and has given an explanation so I relayed that information.

I'll let you get back to whatever important work you were doing here now.

Aren't the flares on the 2nd gen almost identical to the 3rd gen? I ordered my truck and specifically opted not to get flares just because I don't like them at all no matter what they're on.

There is no question that the biggest areas of true improvement on the 3rd gen is on the dash panel and gadgetry to bring it inline with what's available in the rest of the market. The 2nd gen was extremely far behind in gadgetry by the end of its run.

My 1st gen kept running through the entire life cycle of the 2nd gen. Only reason I moved on to the 3rd was I sold it to my son. Drove quite a few 2015 2nd gens but just couldn't warm up to it, seemed dated when compared to the 3rd gen and didn't even care for the power delivery of the 2nd gen.

3rd gen felt like a bigger step up for the dollar.
