I'm on OME struts, not crappy 5100s. I'm over 3" currently with a top plate. 888 would make up difference in the plate.

So why are OME struts better than 5100s?

Ride quality, strength, durability. My truck came with 4600's that are valves the same as 5100 and they sucked

The rear pair of 5160's cost $352 on autoanything.com, and the SumoSprings were around $175 ish. Installed all the rear myself... Pretty easy. The front I had the dealer install for $250 + $90 for alignment.

So there's no reason an 887 or 888 coil wouldn't work on a stock TRDOR Bilstein then? Just not the same ride quality as the OME of course.

    If it works on a 5100, should work on a 4600. I just don't think it's advisable

May be due to the travel of a stock 4600

Got the transmission TSB today. Could tell a difference right away, but the real test will be my 3 hours round trip to LAX and back tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't play the hunt the gear game.

Also got an alignment today post suspension install (finally). That was bueno. No more right drag.

On a side note, anyone off the top of their head know what size our projectors are? I haven't Googled it yet, but I'm thinking of ordering some XSB switchback halos.

Just installed a k&n 63 kit sounded cool at low revs but with the power on it was way too loud for me so I took it off

I was looking for the halo mm size. Figured it out finally. 80mm for anyone that's curious.

Yes it is extremely loud at high rpm's. I just try to keep my foot out of it. It did improve my mpg's. I may fabricate a partial cover for it to see if it helps noise without killing the benefits. To me it is as loud as a magnaflow. Difference is you only hear it sometimes where the exhaust is loud all the time. Sounds like a 4 barrel under the hood.

Mounted up my 4X4 sPOD Touchscreen tonight.

Routed all the wiring through the dash for that stealth look.

Which sliders and skids did you go with?

I ordered a set of Apex slider and skids a few weeks ago. Should be here soon!

Relentless fab skids. I already have their front one and really like it. Mobtown sliders. I got the bamf cmc plates. Trying to decide if I should go through with it. Don't really need to right now. I rarely rub. But I thought I may be able to go up tire size when these wear down. Thoughts?

Nothing too exciting, simply added the front rail to the bed and added a hose to the A/C drain.

Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
Personally, I'm really wary of using a citrus-based cleaner on paint after accidentally wiping a thumbprint sized hole in the finish on a $500,000 Xerox printer. :annoyed:
If you have some WD-40 & a microfiber cloth, you could save the $ on Goo Off. I've had great luck with that method on motorcycle warning label residue over the last 27 years.
It's slow going, but works safely.
    =)
