I gotta ask. What was his logic behind taking that line?

Word. A learning experience for him. Sometimes the easy looking lines are the lines to be left alone. You can obviously see the tracks from those that have crossed before to the left. Thats an easy tell tale to stay left right there. Good team work by all in that predicament.

I'll probably plan that one. Make it a huge superstition meet in January after the holidays. That way everyone can camp together and get crazy. It's pretty remote and fish creek is a quick off road trip.

Spencer and I were just talking about the next superstition meet on Saturday. It was blast! We'll be there. Christmas trees in hand for the burning. Hopefully I don't nearly light my back on fire this time. Had blisters for weeks Haha.

Hmmmmmmm, I like this idea. Have my astronomy "geek together" (LMAO... assuming other people want to join as well) in and around Oct and then a few months later the actual AB run!!! There are a TON of trails down there in AB. Some of those trails can be pretty sketchy and I AIN'T doing "Heart Attack Hill", LMAO!!! I'd much rather watch someone else tumble end-over-end and then call 911 on a cell phone that has NO reception out there, LMAO!!! But yeah, this sounds like a really good plan as far as January. It better damn well be low temps during the day by then, LOL!!!

You're gonna take a hit alright but do it now and bite the bullet. You'll take a bigger hit down the line if you wait. As most will tell you, build it right the first time. Easier said than done though.

Never been to Superstition and heard that the sand can be very soft in that area? Either way, this sounds like it would be a nice meet?

If you are serious, it is better to stock your truck out, sell your truck and buy one with long travel already. You'll thank me when you realize I just saved you at least 10k.

Can't wait. I think this one will be insane.

More than welcome to plan an earlier run. Still gets hot in October and watch out for the winds.

Chris also gave me the same tip on to buying a pre built LT Truck . . . . . . Maybe i should just save up my fundings and see if any of the rigs i like go up for sale . . . Not gonna sell this truck as it was my fathers and i plan on keeping it till i drop dead.

Yeah, the heat is on my mind for sure and if it is still a bit too hot, then I'll just keep pushing the dates "forward" until the desert temps come down to a decent level. As far as the winds, LOL, yeah, been there done that one. It was F'N KRAZY WINDY one night I was there and the next day, calmer than a M ER F ER, LMAO???!!! o_O:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The weather was perfect in January. Cool days and brisk evenings. It lightly rained a couple days before so the dust was kept down. Here's a couple photos I snapped.

well make sure post it and confirm the date. I'm sure someone will tag along.

to be honest I like hanging out with TW peps, it's more laid back, more fun, talk about trucks, Wheeling etc.

I can see having an emotional attachment to a vehicle. It definitely pretty expensive to do LT. Plan on a good 10K for a basic front and rear while doing a good chunk of the work yourself. A nicely built 2nd gen that has a dmz rear and front kit with glass sits around 25K +/- 3k. Pretty much a few grand over a good used stock truck.
