A rick should be well over the rails on a Taco. I hope you'll be loading from a stack so you know you're getting all the wood you're paying for.

I used to sell firewood. Most people have no idea how much wood they're buying/ selling and just call it the most common term used in that area (rick, face cord, cord, etc...).

Thanks for the input guys. I've got an appointment tomorrow morning for them to look at my rear springs for the recall, so I might be making the haul on new springs, that would certainly ease my mind about the whole thing.

    Thanks again guys

I gave it a search but I didn't know what I was looking for as far as which specific part number people were going with. I'm more familiar with Corvettes.

This might get me laughed at, but do they make a 4-5 leaf pack that wont raise it 3"? I really like the stock ride height.

    Miles,

I was just messing with you about the Google thing. I'm not aware of any heavy leaf packs that don't raise the ride height. Doesn't mean they don't exist though. Something you might consider is installing air bags (air springs). Reasonable cost and you only need to use them when hauling a heavy load.

That's why you just buy the whole kit and lift the truck 3 inches!

Some people don't want a lift....

Here is a good 1000LB + of wet red oak, it's some big stuff, it was free so I had to :) I've hauled at least 15 face cord already.
I have sumosprings installed tho, wouldn't do it without some help other wise.

I hauled a Billy of bananas :bananadance: a hundred miles a couple of months ago. Forgot my tarp and took the load anyway. When I got to my destination I only had a Beth left. :notsure: Didn't check the news to see if there were any accidents.:mudding:

Uh huh. I'm coming back in January to ping you for that full cord pic or video. It should somehow show that the truck is actually driving on a road and and arriving at a destination and not just being ruined while parked. If you can do that I will apologize and somehow but ya a beer.

This is roughly 1/4 cord of wood

This is roughly 1/2 cord of wood.

I go through 2-3 cords every winter and have since 1973. No way anyone is putting a cord of firewood in a Tacoma. They are great trucks rated to haul about 1200 lbs. I can see someone getting 2000 lbs in one. It ain't good for the truck, but a cord of firewood is closer to 4000 lbs.
