I did get my y-pipe and I left a message with the Toyota dealership in Fl to mail the headers tomorrow. I get off my ship tomorrow night and wanted to make sure I was home for delivery. But the 2001-2004 Y-pipe is already at my house.

Sweet just confirming with you, get some pics when it's all done.
I've left it and took the money, with the bumper it's hardly noticeable and gives the truck a battle scarred theme. I still need to detail the truck and get some new pics for page 1. My plan for later is to just replace the hood and paint it like I did the grille and if anything I'll get the top of the cab fixed up.

    Yes no more rough idle!

The guys that installed my s/c and URD kit overlooked these areas.

This line starts under the L piece but doesn't go anywhere, I put my finger at the end of the line with the engine running and its sucking in air.

Now the blue arrow I'm pointing to, or the boost port was never capped after it was installed and as seen in the pic I capped it myself days ago to still end up with p0171.

Now this end here as I feared is often forgotten, checked it couple minutes ago and it was left open sucking in air. As pictured here I capped it off. This is by the throttle body. According to the diagram it goes to the IAC valve, however this is for 01 and older year models.

Which is what the guys completely forgot to install - it was left unopened in the box.

It's funny how a $5 piece can help with the high rpm "hiccup". I marked the white arrows with marker that point towards the throttle body.

    image.jpg

And then I came to this tee that was also left open. So before this morning for the past week the s/c has been sucking in air from 4 different ports! The top of this tee coming from the fuel regulator is supposed to be connected to the boost port - according to the 2003 era this was called the "FMU mod"

Reading from post 46 and on gave a lot of information based on this and what the IAC check valve can do
    http://www.yotatech.com/f2/flooring-s-c-5630/index3.html

    image.jpg

So I have finally fixed my p0171 issue and no other codes have been thrown. The s/c runs so much better and doesn't act like its in limp mode and I don't get a shaking rough idle anymore.

Now that I don't need the ultragauge to clear codes I finally dialed in my pages and what gauges I want to see. Just need to get the truck retuned this week.

Damn those are some big sized hoses for the boost port. I think I used 1/8" there and 1/8" caps to the throttle body and under the L bracket. Luckily for me the vacuuming was much simpler.

I changed all the hoses out to hoses that were radiator and fuel line grade, so a little bit bigger.
I was tired of vacuum leaks and cracked hoses from the heat from the small windshield low grade hoses that it had.
One small leak in vacuum messes up the whole system, the supercharger puts out a ton of heat on the hoses like a dam over, if you don't get high grade hoses you will have to replace them much sooner, I'm at 505,000 miles with this supercharger and I need the better type hoses.
You can see every hose has threads in the rubber for added strength and longevity.
Also used a braided steel fuel line in the back of the charger off the pleasure regulator into the fuel rail.
    1st gen had more hoses

Mines still a first gen, just in a newer application. After 2001 the 02-04 models switched to drive by wire throttle bodies. This changes the routing of various vacuum ports. I'm using high grade lines they're just a smaller diameter.

Haha , yup, BTW, did you change your thermostat with your supercharged to the lower temp one??
Did you feel or see any differance?
I don't have any ping issues at all even with the 2.1 pulley, but was wondering if it would help, I have a 2004 motor that has the updated DESNO injectors that have almost twice the mist droplet in size and are larger then the 1997 ones, I'm thinking that's why I don't have any ping issues,

Yes, I'll take pics tomorrow.little bit disappointed. The 2001-2004 y-pipe doesn't have a three bolt flange to bolt up to the cats. Only a two. Do you know anyone in DFW that can remove the two bolt flange and weld a three bolt flange on? I've looked online and found a few companies that sell just the three bolt flange. I could also take one off of my cat being that I'll be replacing those too.

Ok, sorry this took me FOREVER. I got home last Thursday and it was one of those once every ten year flu's.it knocked me through a loop!

Here is the y-pipe that I ordered (that corresponds to the part# on the box). The part #'s I ordered and the part #'s in the install instructions are not the same. There is a place within the instructions that says all "01-04" Tacomas. I will pull out my headers and show the difference in the replacement Y-pipes and the y-pipe that came with the headers... Also, I was expecting a three bolt flange and it has a two bolt flange. :annoyed:
