I just traded my 2005 Taco for a 2015 Taco. I hate the 2016. My Taco has the TRD decal on the back of each side and I want to remove them. What would be the best way to do it?

After you heat it, get a corner up and then pull back slowwwwwwwwly, going from one side to the other.

Once you have it off, remove the residual adhesive with Goo Gone or Goof Off, both are good products. Use a microfiber towel so you don't scratch the paint.

I helped even though you hate my truck. :luvya:

the goof off/WD 40 is to remove the residual glue after the decal is off, not remove the decal per se.

If the heat isn't working, you aren't getting it quite hot enough. Get one corner soft, and start the peel. Then heat ahead of the peel, and slowly remove it.

Peeled mine off in the middle of the day without any additional heat... Although I'm in Texas the sun was shining on it and it was like 95 that day.

Just work the edges with your fingernail. If you get a good piece to come up, peel it along the side (double it back on itself, don't pull up). It may just come off in small bits, and pieces. Once you get all the decal off, as it's been mentioned, use Goo Gone / WD to get remaining adhesive. Once clean, and dry, finish up with some rubbing compound, and wax.

Patience is your friend when removing the adhesive. DO NOT try to rush, or you might take some paint up! Just apply more heat, and work it slowly. Goof-Off has been reported to be more harmful to the clear coat then goo-gone.
I just rolled the adhesive off using my thumb. Yeah, it hurt, but it won't hurt the paint.
