Doesn't bother me either. It obviously serves a purpose otherwise Toyota would have left it off to save $$. Maybe when I get around to a replacement bumper it will get lost but until then I'll leave it be.

On a side note, how did you get remote starter? I thought toyota didn't offer one?

I think you mean the more time you spend here. the more you will not like your truck and be talked down to for owning one.

Don't get him started off that way man..... Although in a lot of instances you are 100% correct with the clowns on this site! I feel your pain!

OP, just do yourself a favor and realize going in that most people who end up on forums are there because they were searching the web for a problem they are having. NOT ALL OF US HATE OUR TRUCKS! Mine has the usual '16 issues and even with that being true, it's still a TACOMA and will outlast any other midsize on the road and do it with a better residual value. Lots of useful info on here if you can weed out the BS and the trolls. I think 16TacomaSport will agree with that last statement?

    Nice truck.
I like the clean look of the sr5

Are you planning to lift or swap for bigger wheels/tires?

Was gonna ask the same, and if so...is it the factory fob? I know there is a "start sequence" of buttons you have to press.

    Grats on the new taco.

I think SR5 trim came with 16" (what it said in my purchase order: P245/75/16).
I am thinking will swap the tires with 265/75R16, All-Terrain T/A KO2 to make it look a little taller and more aggressive, but not sure if that cause any issue (rubbing).

Dealer offered it. It was a third party one but uses the spare channel in the factory fob so it works for me. I can look up the brand if you like. It runs $500 installed.
