How was camping?

 

Good man! Just unloaded the rig and showered up. I have some beers calling my name. Spent the day going further up the mountains. Took some pictures. Pinstriped the truck a little more. How far back did you go?

 

We went up and take the first right passed the lake, I believe its called Hawkins Mountain Mine. The trail with a pretty good hill climb towards the end of it

 

Anyone have recommendations on some good tire carrier hinges???

 

I stopped right before that hill climb and turned around. Ever climbed it?

 

I believe 4x innovations sells theirs as a kit, could be wrong though..

 

Yeah we went up it pretty easily, only had to lock my rear. Some guy in an LR4 was getting it on with his GF when we showed up haha It basically ends right at the top but there is a trail that takes off to the absolute top which is where the mine is.

That hill did screw up Joes 4runner a few weeks ago though

 

I bought the 4xinnovations one when i built my swingout.

 

There is a bypass to that hill though on the right side

 

I had a quarter tank of gas left in the truck so we did not push it. Next time I'd like to go up for a day run. I'm trying to figure out how to convert the pictures i took in RAW format to JPEG so I can post some.

 

Well it was an LR4.... kind of a small step up from a cheep hotel on 99.

 

Figured it out how to convert them. No Lightroom time to edit them. Oh well.....

 

You talking about the Gallagher run? I hit that hill in my truck, 31s 3" lift and open diffs and manual trans, and made it up on the second shot. First shot on it, I tried to put it in third gear too late, then had to shift back down to second while climbing and lost too much speed. I wasn't sure I would make it through the ruts but I did.
