That would be the best bet. I liked the SR and it felt good stock.

I just purchased the 6 inch suspension lift kit for the prerunner sr 4cyl.

dumb move or? I've seen a couple with the 6 inch lift running a 33 tire... just wanted to know what I'll be facing when the kit has been installed.

You asked so I'll chime in. Dumbest move ever. Your lifting a 2wd 4 cyl truck for reasons I will never understand. Your will end up with poor handling, crappy gas mileage, it will accelerate like a bus with 33's and it will be crap off road.

If your doing the lift to explore the back country sell the truck and buy a 4WD taco with the V6 and lift away.

Greatly appreciate the feedback. Well where Im at, no use of having a 4wd. And I was trying to go for the "looks" since I only drive it on Sundays and from point a to b. Not long drives.

I drove my 2011 stock gears with 33s and it was not that bad. Not fast but I did so for a few years no problem

If that is the look you want to go for, then go for it.
If you are not happy with how much slower it accelerates with the bigger tires, then regear the rear end.

Thanks guys, I just wanted to get feed backs on the 6inch lift on a 4cyl. I'll probably go lower later in the future

Just curious why you chose the 2.7 over the 3.5? I priced out both and in my area there was only about a $800 dollar difference in both trucks equipped with the auto transmission. They both get around the same fuel mileage but a big difference in HP. I already have a 2.7 in my '12 and love it.

    Nice truck by the way.

Well for me there was a big price difference, around here in the Bay Area the majority of dealerships will either carry basic base model (like my truck) or the upgraded TRD Sport/Offroad packages. Plus I don't tow anything, so I really would be fine with just the 2.7. I also liked the durability of the 2.7 engine, and I've been reading on here that the 2.7 has been generally getting better MPG than the 3.5, but that will mostly be based on driving conditions/habits

It you want a 2.7 with auto you have to buy the SR5 and for the 3.5 in the SR5 the price is close. Different story if you get the manual base model.

Just under $5,000 difference when I had a SR5, Access Cab, 2WD, V6 ordered last year this time. This is in southeastern Illinois. I did get $2,000 knocked of the MSRP from another dealer on my 2.7 so yeah I guess just under $3K difference.

Here's a question. If you had a choice between a auto 2.7 and auto 3.5 ( manuals if you perfer) in the same trim package and they both cost exactly the same price, which would you choose?

V6, I think the 2.7 5 speed is a whole different truck. Fun to drive and feels like a toy. V6 auto is a towing or everyday driving truck to me. Just how I felt
