I am in the market for taller rear bumpstops. I have been considering using sumosprings as my rear bumpstop, they look to be about 6 inches tall (not sure), and compress 50%-80% ? of the blue foam part, not the total height. Some people without lifts use these in place of airbags. But what if you are lifted?

<<<<Please add pictures to this thread if you have sumos installed, with or without a lift.>>>>

    From supersprings website:
Available in both front and rear applications for most trucks, vans, buses and motor homes the SumoSprings Solo is a more comfortable, progressively-engaging suspension bump stop. They are typically larger than the original equipment to initiate earlier contact. The cushioned effect inherent in the urethane material promotes smooth engagement. This combination creates a more comfortable ride.

Low range sells a flip kit with a sumospring as well . You can buy the spring alone as well, and the shorter one, and perhaps attach it to the frame bumpstop landing pad above the axle, .

This is the tacoma specific kit.
It is an alternative to airbags and raises the rear of unlifted tacomas by 5/8". It makes constant contact with the axle and frame on unlifted trucks. .
    http://autoplicity.com/8069740-super-springs-ssr-610-40-sumosprings

Here is just the foam part from the tacoma specific model
    https://www.amazon.com/SuperSprings...&qid=1473711140&sr=1-69&keywords=Supersprings

And these ones, for the tundra, but they fit a tacoma. rated for 1500#, the ones above are 1000# they are black and I'm assuming they are of a harder durometer.
    http://autoplicity.com/8069741-super-springs-ssr-610-47-sumosprings

This is low ranges flip kit, and boy is it good lookin!!
    http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyo...lts-by-low-range-off-road-tsp-bs-ssf-kit.html

These are just the spring from the low range flip kit
    http://autoplicity.com/8069634-super-springs-ssf-106-40-sumosprings

And These models look like they MIGHT be added to pre drilled flip kits

    http://autoplicity.com/8069737-super-springs-ssr-403-40-sumosprings

    http://autoplicity.com/8069712-super-springs-ssr-210-40-sumosprings

    http://autoplicity.com/8069736-super-springs-ssr-402-40-sumosprings
    https://www.amazon.com/SuperSprings...3705961&sr=8-4-spell&keywords=tacoma+bumpstop

These plus allpros flip kit could be a less expensive alternative to the low range flip kit, if these do indeed fit, to be determined.

Part # SSR-610-40 the tacoma specific model for non ubolt flipped trucks measures 5" or 6" tall measured from the axle, and have a 4" diameter. The blanks disk on the bottom is 4" in diameter.

Reports have this model at 4 5/8ths" tall when installed on a stock truck, as they are slightly compressed. This makes sense as they give 5/8ths lift, and part of the sumo is squished.

The sumosprings for the low range flip kit are reported to have a 4" height, diameter 3.5", per low ranges thread These, like other sumos, can supposedly compress 80%
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...op-rear-u-bolt-flip-kit.422286/#post-12483979

Please add pics and thoughts, whether you have them on a lifted truck or not, any input is welcome, thanks , auggie
Anybody have these with dakar springs?

For that price why wouldn't you just go with Timbren?

It's my understanding that timbren bumps are hard rubber and very rigid, the sumos, like superbumps, are made from close cell foam that compresses

Too many people get Timbren's and then swap for Superbumps for me to drop the coin on them.

Not really into that love or hate experimentation.

I've got superbumps and have no complaints but they are much shorter then sumosprings or timbrens

Isn't the bumpstops job to prevent bad things (shock bottoming out) before they occur? Or you are so sprung it's unlikely ?

Yeah but unless I'm jumping my truck or super off camber the shocks don't get close to bottoming out, and I don't plan on jumping my truck anytime soon. I drive slowly over rocks.
