Had a car turn left across my lane on the highway today while traveling 80-85 kph (50 mph ish), barely had time to touch the brake pedal. The good news I walked away, the young female driver of the compact Hyundai looked like she will be OK from the info I got, but she was taken away in an ambulance. Good thing she didn't have a passenger. Now to go though the insurance process, I expect it will be totalled with the airbag deployed, and engine oil leaking and running down the road. I have dash cam footage of the whole incident, and a witness who was following me knows what I know - that I was travelling below the speed limit.

Oof. That's quite the impact. Rest up, you'll be a bit sore tomorrow, and good luck going forward.

Unfortunate for sure. But the important thing is everyone was ok. Time to start shopping for an upgrade.

I'm gonna miss that truck, but it can be replaced with money and work. As good as it was to me, it was only a truck. Walking in the door afterward to my wife and two sons meant way more to me tonight that loosing the truck. Assuming a write-off of course.
