Hey folks. I'm the new owner of a 2016 double cab off road pkg M/T Taco! It's been too long since I've had a reasonably capable truck! I've had a few moderately built trucks - 85 4runner dual cases, 5.29s, an '82 pickup on 38s, 91 4runner 3.slow on 36's, locked. But, that was like 15 years ago. Just shooting the breeze about that really....

Anyhow, I've got a 2 year old, a 14 year old dog, and a democrat wife who, just as the quote from the movie Annie goes: "everything is urgent to a democrat", has major risk-aversion tendencies - (just a well-natured political jab there), so I'm looking for some moderate trails -nothing that will bounce the kiddo out of his car seat or the dog out the window - or the wife into a tizzy! This my excuse for not wanting to beat up my new truck just yet!! :D

Anyone got any recommendations in / near Fresno county, Kings Canyon or thereabouts etc.? I haven't spent much time there aside from backpacking. Been searching on Google Earth and Youtube but a first hand account of recent trail conditions wold be great as I'm trying to put together a trip for this weekend, leaving tomorrow afternoon and headed back to Berkeley on Monday. Some relatively easy / moderate articulation would be nice. Nearby water is crucial and ideally lightly traveled. Looking for some solitude and quiet!

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy post - lemme know if anyone has anything in mind!
