That's what I need. Fiancé likes her privacy and I don't want to deal with annex because we are always exploring out everyday but usually set a base camp.

Anyone have any experience with the 23Zero RTTs? I know they've been talked about but I never heard any first hand experience.

    I. Normally I would not talk about this but what the heck. We are all human so when you need to go, you need to go. Lot of campers do come by to see the shower tent. Most did not know about this type of portable unit either. I bought this to go inside the shower/outhouse.

Not posting a pic, but don't waste your money on any other one. This one takes less space and no cleaning required. Just put a plastic bag inside a 5 gallon bucket and throw away after each use. Yes, a 5 gallon bucket fits underneath.

Those other portables are a PITA to clean and are heavy. Just some more FYI.

Maybe this isn't the thread for this bullshit...lol

You have to do it exactly right. I have been successful once. I had an old X Large North Face Duffel that I haven't used since SAR days and that's where I put mine now. Though I won't be taking it along again anytime soon once I get that Ozark Trail shelter.

    Not enough...
    Evening, ladies!

This afternoon I joined your ranks and picked up a gently used CVT Mt. Shasta from a local member. This thing is pretty tits and i'm super excited to use it on my trip coming up in under 2 weeks.

Obviously I would like to avoid having to read 452 pages of this thread. Here is what I am trying to figure out:

    1. How do you level your trucks? I hate sleeping under weird angles. Obviously, I can drive around with a stack of of 2x4, but I would prefer something cleaner. These look pretty cool. Anyone used them before? https://www.amazon.com/Camco-44573-Yellow-Tri-Leveler/dp/B000BUQOFO

    2. Power inside the tent. I would like to charge phones and have an LED light inside the tent. The light is an easy part, and battery operated will work just fine, but what are you doing for power? I am thinking of just making a long cable that would plug into a fused pigtail coming out of my AUX fuse panel under the hood and running it into the tent with a USB plug or two on the other end, so I don't have have the ignition on to charge the phone at night.

    3. Air circulation.... seems like it's covered in the "Products Discussed in this Thread" section down below with that Fan-Tasctic fan, but I am open to other suggestions.

    4. I would like to mount the tent with the ladder and the annex facing the back of the truck, so i could have the tailgate open, in case someone else would like to sleep in the bed, but the tent already has the mounting rails mounted, so if I place the tent in like I want it, the mounting rails and my roof rack rails are parallel to each other. Is it ok to take them off and drill new holes to change the orientation of the mounting rails? Or is there some other way to attach it to the rack? I have a PrInSu rack with double HD bars.

    5. I want to add the Annex Channel and can't figure out what length i need. 56" sounds about right?

    Thanks!

    https://www.amazon.com/Camco-44505-...1473390494&sr=8-1&keywords=camper+jack+blocks
2 battery powered lights and things - i can charge phones, etc while I drive so no need to in the tent
3 open side windows are enough in my climate - never needed a fan
4 you can take the rails off and remount them the opposite direction. you will need to trim them down or they will stick out past the end of the tent
    5 56" is correct

    Never Enough
I have one. I will first state that it is not a Tepui, CVT, or ARB. However, for the price it is a great unit and for my needs it has worked thus far. I have only used it on 4 trips totaling 10 nights. On the very first night I had it, it rained for several hours staright. We played cards in it and it stayed dry. As far as quality, it is good. The few things I found wrong where metal shavings from manufacturing. Small metal burs along some of the ends and holes. A shop vac and a file fixed that. The mounting harware is a little flimsy for my liking so I got my own. The provided bolts were too short for my bed bars anyway. My biggest dissapointment is the zippers. They r generic, not YKK. I have not had one fail so I can't really complain. The material is identical to the top brands standard models. It also has a fiberglass base as theirs do too. The mattress is no Serta Perfect but does the job. My Wife did buy $20 a thin memory foam pad to go on top which makes it better.
I live in the same city as the distributer so I was able to pick it up local and save a bit of $. I also got the contact info for the local representat so if I have any issues he is available.
When I have more time in the coming weeks I plan on posting an in depth review including my unboxing, install, and pictures.
Once again I am very happy with my purchase.

    I hope this helps...

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
I had made a constant hot USB sport in the back of my center console for the kids. Put a 10' lightning cable into it and run it through the rear window to the tent if needed.

Def cleaner ways to do it. I know there's a thread in the AZ subforum where a member sells light kits for RTTs. It's title is Keepers Metal Fab or similar.

Lisa correct me if I am wrong but I think with the Mt Shasta the rails do not need to be trimmed no matter what direction it opens in... I sware I remember the bars being the same length both ways...
