First of all I don't want to come off as bashing the Tacoma
I want a new Tacoma so bad I can't sit still.
The 2016 made the list of "The 20 vehicles to avoid at all cost". If the only improvement is an electric sliding window, and zero fixes of some known problems the '17 will no doubt end up on the same list.

Is there any info concerning fixes to known 2016 issues?

I strongly suggest reading one of the 25 threads on the 2017 model year.

The only list with that title is the SheBudgets list. Are you seriously quoting that list?

My 2016 has its issues but seriously...SheBudgets? Good. Lord.

I'm not sure what shebudgets is. I do remember a few months ago there was a list "20 vehicles to avoid...." And it was brought up here as well.
    Many times.

Traction, I did scroll through this site looking for '17 threads. I found a couple but not the 25 that you refer too. If there are indeed threads talking about changes to the '17, I'll continue to did. This is what I was looking for. Thank you.

I googled, and it looks like that is where the list came from. Not sure what shebudgets is. Not reputable?

"According to 2016 Tacoma owners, this truck leaves a lot to be desired. Not only is it hard to climb into because it’s a bit high off the ground, but vibration and steering is a constant problem [7]. That being said it does have its good points mainly that it works well for towing, hauling, and going off-road. That being said its “a chore to drive” according to Consumer Report. It’s up to you…is this the truck for you?"

I appreciate the depth and detail this comprehensive article goes into as to why you should avoid these vehicles at all costs.

I think the 17's have a power slider window and auto-locking tailgate
and other than that, same truck.

    love my truck!

I have to say that I LOVE my 2016 Tacoma. I converted over from a 2008 Jeep JK Unlimited this spring. I'm trying to get used to the radically different approach and departure angles (I'm used to just driving up to something and rolling over it), but I REALLY enjoy the handling, the ride and the functionality. The Crawl Assist is pretty cool and really does a nice job in both Drive and Reverse. The cabin is comfortable. Having a bed to put stuff in is GREAT! I don't have any complaints.

Saying things like, "It rides like a truck," or "It's a little tall to get into," is like complaining that a peanut butter sandwich is bad because it isn't a ham sandwich.
