Tried to make the title as descriptive as possible to catch attention so here is a bit more detail.

@nazlax10 was awesome enough to post pics of this in the "What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?" thread, with part numbers no less, and this caught a few peeps' eyes there, so...



We asked him how much this ran him, and he said around $400. I know what you're all going to say... why don't you just take yours apart and paint/dip/derp it, it'll be cheaper? Etc, etc, etc... Well, speaking for myself, I don't feel comfortable doing that because if I mess it up I'll hate myself for it. And to me there is nothing like OEM parts.

So trying to gauge interested in how many of you would be up for trying to see if Camelback would hook us up with some type of discount if a bunch of us went in on it.

1) Can single parts be ordered instead of the entire "assembly"?

6) Is part # 55412-04090 available without the 4x4 switch cut out, for PreRunners? If so, what would the price be in black as well?


7) Would the steering wheel parts work with a 2012?

If I didn't already have the black interior in my reg cab, I would be all over this! One of the very few benefits of a reg cab.

Hopefully this will help you all out instead of squinting at the pictures.

The part number ending in 4020 is the radio trim bezel. It is not the one with the AC vents in it. I ordered this because mine was scratched but it was a replacement part, not a change. I just listed it here in case anyone else wants to change it while they're here.

Also I should clarify. The radio surround with AC vents only has the holes for the vents. You will have to swap the louvered assemblies from your old panel. I did this to save a little bit of money. It's very simple to swap. It's only 4 clips per vent.

Interested but Camelback isn't gonna do shit for you. Just like the Pro Grill you tried to set up. They'll give you a whopping $2.00 off then charge you a $3.00 handling fee and shipping.

 

I plan on slowly switching all of my silver parts for the black counerparts, no way I'm paying that much though. A salvage yard or company like LKQ would be a fraction of the price.

 

Interested is an understatement! Was just starting to plan for doing these myself or finding some that are already done for me... Where do I sign?

Also wondering if it will be a package deal or if there might be an option for specific parts. The radio bezel is the main thing I was seriously looking at for now, though if a deal is good enough on the rest I might just have to add them all on as well.

 

@Cativelense also you can try Lexus of miami for Gb they sell OEM Toyota parts on eBay for great prices.

 

You should farm this out to several dealers or internet vendors. I was honestly interested until you said Camelback, then it completely disappeared.

Keeping tabs on this nonetheless, but Camelback is the last place I would try and deal with.

Just to note, if you are a 2013, you need to add a pin to those 14/15 black controls to get them to light up. Probably same deal for 2012s.

If I had to do it again I'd just buy some 2013 black controls and be done with it

 

Lexus of Miami used to be my contact when Lisa used to give me the awesome deals. They don't do it anymore, plus the eBay sellers name changed.

 

Sucks. I bought my roof rack, pro grille, sema wheels from them all at great pricing.
