I am trying to put my cellphone holder magnetic stand to on my dash and the 3M double sided tape would not hold it! Any have another product for the top of the dash? It's like nothing will stick to it....

Try Shoe Goo, that stuff sticks to just about anything! I used it to attach one of these to the side of the console and after a year it hasn't moved.

The dash is not super smooth, plus oily if you use certain cleaners.

I have mine mounted to the dash just above the heat controls.

Did you use the gray-colored 3m tape? That's the strongest tape they make, I believe.

If you're talking about VHB it's expensive and permanent.

Just a heads up. These dashes are painted... strong tape or adhesive could lift it off.

Get into the dash and use hardcore double sided tape to place a rare earth magnet on the underside.
