After spending the last couple of hours combing through the web and forums, being of the disposition to make a solid effort in finding the information if its out there before making a needless request for help, I have found little information to solve the following issue:

For the subset of Gen. 1 Tacomas, '01-'04 and in particular '03, I am aware that there are automatic transmission temperature sensors (2) that measure the temperature of the fluid.
From other vehicular diversions I already own:

    Android telephone
    Torque Pro APP
    OBDII bluetooth reader/sender

The phone, reader, app, and automobile's computer all connect, and the PID's that are native to Torque Pro produce reasonably accurate data, however, I am preparing to flush the transmission fluid in accordance with a nicely written sticky on the subject, and thought it would be handy to use the app to monitor fluid temperature during this procedure, not to mention the ability to monitor temp while underway in general. I have already attempted the '05+ information and the app returns no data.

Will someone please post the code to enter into the app? or provide some sort of reasoning why a code will not work for this model year range?

    Addendum

Information for Scan Gauge transmission temp found in this thread for year range '01-'04

If memory serves me correctly , the transmission temp sensor on a 2003 Toyota doesnt communicate with the computer in your truck .
This means that your truck has a separate electronic controller for the transmission .
When you connect the torque pro to your OBD2 connector under your dash , the Torque pro is only communicating with your engine and fuel management ecm , not your transmission controller .
Give me a little time and I will dig up the post for you

I use Torque and a bluetooth dongle and I can monitor trans temps natively. I didn't have to program anything. It just works. I'm using the paid version of Torque which I understand has more PIDs loaded.

there are 2 different controlled transmissions for this year of truck . Some trucks around this year use computer controlled transmissions and some use non computer controlled transmissions . If you are lucky , you have the A340E

Not sure what you mean the Toyoya a340 variants have been electronically (computer) controlled since the early 90s. (80s now that I'm thinking about it)

Yup , I understand what you are saying . There are some functions in the earlier transmissions that were computer controlled ( 1980,s -2003) .

If you try to connect a scanner to view the computer controls , there was only a limited amount of information available and computer control was very basic at the time .Toyota,s had a good working transmission and it was the reliable A340 with limited computer control
You could see when the torque converter locked up and the shift solenoid for 4th gear was commanded on by the computer but you couldnt see the commands made by the trucks computer to make those shifting changes . Information from the transmission temp sensor wasnt available to be viewed by a scanner even though a transmission temp sensor was being used
Mechanical inputs were used over electronic inputs such as a transmission throttle cable rather than a throttle position sensor .
I am certain Toyota is still using A340E transmission today in 2016 .

To make things simple , read post number 5 . There is a link there you can read
