Skyway, your truck is 09. I had a member tell me his 2011 is 37.5". Bill's is 37 5/8". Mine is 37.5" and it's 14 model. So it might be that the later models have a 0.5 in difference...but just a guess from the data set of information. LCE header thought the trucks were the same, but 13.5 to 2014 model 2TR-FE motor, they had a different header so it didn't fit my truck. There's a reason, but only Toyota knows why they change things year over year. I also have regular cab and I don't have X runner...just happen to have the X-brace that I haven't installed yet.

I know how it's installed...I was about to bolt the Curt hitch up, but the mounting arms couldn't get around the frame frames because it was too narrow. That's why I measured the frame rails and the hitch and saw the discrepancy. Kinda crazy that it's hit or miss ... might be they had a new person that day making the hitch using the jig and didn't measure...because I don't see a good way of mounting it

Well, sounds as tho they shipped an 09 model to you rather than the 14 you need?
I would call them and check.

FWIW, I have a 2014 reg cab 4x4, and the Curt #13323 I ordered and received from AutoAnything fit like a glove.

FWIW, I got a Curt hitch from Amazon for a 1st generation and it was very beat up in shipping, too. I trued the mild bend to the brackets, scuffed the paint and gave it a fresh coat. It bolted up fine. Just a data point, I think they sent you the wrong or defective hitch. I highly doubt Toyota would change the frame but OTOH Dana (the subcontractor) is pretty well known to keep screwing them up.

I bought a used OEM hitch from bmgreene (great guy). The rear section of the OEM hitch wing is 37.5"+ but the front section where the bumper is mounted is about 37". So got me wondering if Curt is really at fault or not. True their quality control and paint is crap, but this may not be a design issue, but rather better instructions is needed for the bent wings that needs to be bent back to clear the frame rails and then the bolted in to true it up again.

Interesting that the OEM hitch has these guide pins that I have to see how to mount to the truck without instructions...I wonder how it slides into place without being a nuisance or have to remove to mount. I have to fix and apply new coat of paint to the OEM hitch...don't want any potential rust developing after install. I'll follow up once I have the OEM hitch... the other difference is that the Curt hitch uses the bottom bolts to mount where as the OEM, looks like have to remove the bumper to install.

So far, if Curt hitch had better paint control so there aren't any huge defects of paint cracking or missing and then they actually had packaging support for the hitch in shipment for the wings (mounting arms) to be bent, it might be better than OEM. I'm going to test fit the OEM this time before doing any paint work. May be a few weeks to post given other things on the To Do list to finish.

Did you get my reply? I read the Amazon reviews and I was aware. Just getting one OEM hitch is the first I saw the front and hence I posted a follow up.. My Curt hitch seems true and not bent... It was also angled... so it would have bent during shipment to be more inward which looked straight...then these hitch from Curt also have to have a V shape \______/ instead of squared shape as I mentioned before.
