So this arrived today and was on the ground for less than 5 mins before it sold. Guy has been coming every morning for 2 weeks to check to see if its here. Props to him I appreciate that kind of commitment to buying a Pro

Maybe its just me. I dunno. But for that kinda dollars, maybe better tires? Unless of course, he ordered it that way...lol. With plans to change em anyway.

    Impressive dedication, I agree.

I was blown away by this guy. Totally cool dude but damn he stalked this thing. We couldnt pre-sell it till it hit the lot so the only way to buy the thing was be the first person there whenever it showed up (which it got delayed like 5 times...). Hats off to him though. Hes getting auto running boards and a bigger lift with 285's :woot:

You know, at first I wasn't sure about that Cement paint job, but the more that I look at it, the cooler it gets! I was torn between waiting for a 17 Pro to show up and getting my 16 Limited with all the upgrades. These trucks seem so hard to find and my Grand Cherokee was about to run out of powertrain warranty with a transmission that I don't think would have lasted much longer. Maybe I will pay down this 16 like crazy and grab a Pro next year when they are more plentiful ha

Sorry to burst your bubble. But my TRD OR has none of those issues either and I've driven with the windows up and down listening for these "sounds/howling/whinning."

Cool story. Mine also had the Howling LCAs but I didn't notice it until I was going 80mph on the freeway downhill. Mine had full ATF, no rear diff issue. Also, if you have the noise you will hear it loud and proud whether your windows are up or down.

As for the Rear Diff... it'll be hit and miss and will have everything to do with the vins.

Cool story bud, what bubble did you burst? There's plenty of documented OR's that have it and developed it later in life/mileage. Where's @smitty99 when I need him. I guess all of us in that thread with all different configs and packages must be hearing shit. Glad yours is fine.

Opinions of a 3rd gen from a 1st genner after driving 1700 miles.

-I'm not sure why everyone feels like they're sitting on the floor. I was fine.
-Hood skewp glare is a thing. But having a decal around the skewp does help a bit.
-Rides much nicer with an aftermarket suspension.
    -Sounds nicer with aftermarket exhaust.
-Wish the steering wheel would telescope just a tiny bit more out.
-The seats never made me sore or felt uncomfortable.
-The fabric of the seats is nice and doesn't hold dirt. Seems to brush anything right off.
-Plenty of power in the truck compared to a first gen, even with 35s.
-Love the keyless entry and push start...but I did find myself poking the 4WD knob rather than the engine on/off button on more than a few occasions. It's pretty tucked behind the steering wheel.
-I understand the shifting thing but would do great with some new gears because of the bigger tires it had.
-Really wish there was a drivers grab handle.
-Non-JBL stereo is actually pretty good in its own right.
-Wish you could use the fob from the passenger side to open and lock.

    Would do again.

I totally agree with your point. Those are good tires they're just not right for the TRD Pro.

:rofl:I saw one on the road and did get a bit envious!! I bought the SR5 because of the grill and the cost. I am having Icon Stage 4 with 285/75/16 on Bully Pros this Thursday. Even with these upgrades, the cost of my truck will equal the cost of the TRD model, minus the crawl control.
