2014 JBL Unit Locks Up - Then Restarts

My 2014 Entune JBL Nav Unit will periodically stop navigating or sometimes playing music whileon long drives. When it stops, none of the controls respond. Then after a few minutes, it just shuts down and restarts. Is there a fix for that? Or do I need to replace the unit. Thanks.

 

Hold the power button down until it does a soft re-boot as soon as you see it frozen and see if that helps.
Sometimes I have to eject the SD card reboot and reinsert it and reboot again to solve it for a while.

Here is the latest TSB on this issue. Take to dealer and have them install new firmware.

 

Thanks for the info. I wonder how much they charge? My warranty is out.

 

mine freezes during winter when i start the truck for alittle while buttons dont work and touch screen dont work for acouple of minutes.
