I had originally planned on going the LED strip route, but worried the adhesive would eventually fail. I'm glad I found this thread. I just ordered a kit for my truck.

They are on eBay right now for $68 shipped. That's where I ordered mine from.

I know I'm in the wrong section, but I figured I would bump this instead of starting another one to see if I can get the answe first.
Can anyone hook me up with how to wire this to the cargo light switch on the 3rd gen instead of the dome wiring in the instructions provided?
    Thanks guys !

Do you have any documentation on how to wire the LED light kit directly to a new aftermarket switch? Having a hard time mapping all wires back to the correct switch wires in this picture:

Ugh..just installed these. Let me preface by saying that they work great. But son-of-a-bitch the harness was a pain in the ass to route along the driver's side. Also, the template they provided didn't match the holes of the light themselves so I got an extra hole in the bed of my truck. It's hidden by the lights but it pisses me off.

Sorry to hear that you had difficulties with the installation. I didn't not have any problems with my install. All of the holes in the templates were necessary and everything lined up as expected.

Just installed on my 2017. They work great but three things: First, the templates didn't exactly match up. I would suggest drilling the larger middle hole for the wire loom and then drilling the smaller holes with the light assembly in place as a guide. Got an extra hole in my bed that I'm not pleased about. I'll forget about it eventually because its covered by the light assembly. Second, the harness was a bitch to route on the driver's side above the fuel tank. This took me the longest and busted my knuckles up pretty good. Last, removing the electrical tape on the stock wiring harness of a brand new truck to tap into it was a little nerve wracking. All in all I give the install a 6/10 difficulty. I put a lot of attention to detail when installing - it took 2 hours. I can't imagine a dealer would do the same.

Not your fault. In the end I'm pleased with the results.

I know it's to late but a few pages back someone did mention about the template not lining up.

Just a heads up for those that will be installing these.

Yes, if you notice on the template, there is a one inch marking that you can hold a ruler against to make sure that the template is printed to scale. It's on the part of the page that you cut off.

When I installed my bed lights I taped the heck out of the template so it wouldn't move while drilling the holes into the bed. There is also a length check . . . make sure the template was printed to the correct scale otherwise the holes might not line up.

He's probably getting tired of answering "hey man, can I wire these up in a Ford Fiesta?""how do I do it ?"

These lights can be installed in just about anything though.
