Mine got enough play where some diff fluid started leaking out.

That bushing looks like it failed from lack of lubrication. How was your your fluid level. Did you have a seal leaking?

It could have, but i remember diff fluid leaking from the CV axle and differential when I found out the CV was wobbly, so my guess was there was still enough fluid in there to cover the CV splines.

Edit: just got an email from Chase at ECGS and they are sending me a new one! Awesome customer service, took less than 24 hours to respond. I'll try to keep track of the movement on the new one over time to see how it wears. My truck may experience more wear on suspension components than some of the other trucks that have this bushing installed:

I installed my ECGS bushing and the front axle still has a little play in it. WAYYY better than the stock needle bearing. No leaking diff fluid. Problem is I still have the vibration. I'm going to install the OME CB drop shims (I think FK-29), measure pinion angles, and see if I need X degree shims on the rear. This vibration is killing me and seems to be getting worse with greater drive time.

Any advice is much appreciated from you guys!

Make sure your CV shaft is not buggered up where the bearing rides. If your seal is bad you can also get dirt and grit in there.

Installed angle shim in rear leaf pack, vibration gone. What suspension are you running?

i have the icon AAL in the rear and Idk know how adding a shim in the rear would help the vibration noise in the front ADD.

Yeah, didnt know it was a noise in the from. Shimming my Dakars made a night and day difference when it came to driveline vibrations. Any lift in the front?

Looks like I'll need one of those bushings as well. My diff is leaking from drivers side where the CV connects and the CV has significant play compared to passenger side. Icon extended coils in the front, close to the 3" lift mark.

I just developed the needle bearing vibration a few days ago after putting my 2in lift on. Would it be worth my while to try to go thru the dealership to see what they are willing to do under warranty since my truck only has 5k on it?

I have 60k+ on mine no issues. Also have the install tools I'd be willing to part with PM me for more info. I am going to order ARB locked and re-geared 3rd member and clamshell directly from ECGW when the time comes.

Dealership was quite willing to replace mine under the TSB...no problems at all, didn't even mention the lift on the truck.

Damn I just ordered the bushing. I wonder if I should still try to dealer route. I know there was a tsb on the 2nd gen but not sure about the 3rd. Did what the dealer do work?

Yep, solved it for me. My truck is a 2nd gen, but the tech said he'd done the same work on 3rd Gens as well...
