Black canyon lake seems legit. Might have to plan a trip out in the summer months.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Not lately. Went and did halibut in Alaska in July, between that and my truck it's ate up my play money. Thinking about hitting the rim in a few weeks though for trout.

It takes some dedication to go fishing in the summer months around these parts.. I always take a fishing pole and necessities up north but when it's hunting season forget about it.

Was dove the only thing you are hunting this year?

Where about do you like to fish on the rim?

I have a buddy that graduated from ASU that lives in Alaska and swears by the fishing.

I tend to fish northern AZ and Hawaii since my dad has a sport boat out there for that offshore angling.

yep, I usually at least have one pole. usually the summer months i'll take the boat out night fishing regularly... just haven't had time this season. but in fairness, I've gotten a lot of fishing time in this year.

gonna do a late dove/quail/rabbit this year too. next year might go hog huntin' in texas. still planning that one out with some buddies.

Always wanted to do the hog hunting in Texas. Looks like a blast.

Do you do any big game in AZ or no?

Just a bunch of old crap
Pretty happy with this flathead I pulled out of Lake Pleasant on Saturday night. Caught it on the only bluegill I could get, as the north coves don't have hardly any cover and the bluegill are tough to find. Got the bluegill accidentally in a crawdad trap.

If anyone is in the area... while squirrel hunting I fished Kinnikinick and it was on fire. Caught a few rainbow on bait but quickly switched to lure only... the brown trout were going nuts biting spoons and spinners. I probably caught about 20 brownies in 2 hours of fishing, some very nice size.

I don't do as much fishing as I would like. Majority of the time it's Urban, but I would like to try Lakes. Is it even worth it without a boat?

Lots of places up on the rim, but this is arguably the best
