Forgive my ignorance if this was already a well known feature, but the faux beadlock bolts on Method wheels are removable! Well at least on my series, I can't speak for all of them but would be willing to guess they would be. I've been impressed with these wheels since I bought them years ago and they are still surprising me.

I had wanted to try out Plasti-Dipping my wheels and didn't want to paint the bolts. This saves me hours of prep taping.

Anyone have pics of some Plasti-Dipped Method wheels?

Not plasti-dipped, but I have those same wheels in black.

Not my truck or my photo, but you get the idea. Be careful with those bolts, BTW. I had to remove mine every time I got new tires and then replace them before the wheels got balanced (due to the smallest differences in bolt weights, it could throw your balancing off). I got tired of doing it, so I just took them off and left them off. I like the look better

The way my tire shop had their tire mounting machine, it had a roller that would ride on the lip of the wheel (right where the bolts are). My tire shop advised removing the bolts to prevent potentially breaking the heads off. I only know of one person that this has happened to, but an ounce of prevention and so forth... Up to you. Might be a PITA to drill out the broken bolt and replace it if that ever happened.

Well wheel color is just a matter of personal preference. I was ready for something different and black fits the new theme of the truck better. Thanks for the tips guys. I ended up Plasti-Dipping the wheels. Here's pre-bolt install:

Nice job w the dip. I was thinking about using ARP hardware. They make all types of fasteners, unsure if the shallow depth would be an issue to find similar.

    Thanks!
Are you thinking new hardware just for a different bolt head look? Or did you have a different reason for swapping?

Well in my experience with my sports cars that have similar hardware tend to rust or oxidize the threads or the hardware themselves. Corrosion has always etched into the paint on my wheels.

Sooooooooo, I gave it some thought and looked in my ARP hardware book and bought some nice stainless or black finished hardware. I used some anti-seize paste on the thread and torqued the bolts.

Problem solved and my wheels looked great all the time.

I just ordered a set of Method Standards in black for my 2017 TRD OR 4x4.

I'll be doing the same thing as soon as I get my lift and wheels on.

I hope this helps, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask me.

    Best of luck,

    Dave

I have one of you need me to look up something for you.

What model of wheels do you have and what offset? Just curious. I ordered my set and they only come w a 0mm offset.
