Feeler/Interest gauge for 12-15 blackout interior parts

EDIT: Looks like you painted your gauge cluster rings as well?!

 

I followed most of @nazlax10 removal for the most part. I also removed the second 10mm below the change holder. For the pins above the cluster I used a small screw driver. You push the clip in with a small amount of force. They should pull right out or fall out. They are a two piece pin so when reinstalling pull the inner pin most of the way out until flush with the top of outer pin then reinsert into cluster you should here a click. On the radio panel I had to reuse the yellow clips from old one don't forget to check yours or it won't lock into place. When swapping the ac vents there are four clips that hold them in place I used my fingernails to pry the top two open at the same time and it should pop right out. Just take your time. It was my first time pulling anything apart inside my truck. It's actually easier then it looks. Let me know if you have any other questions

Thought it was the perfect time to paint them since i had the cluster off. Makes it much easier to remove the rings from the back side. i probably put way to many coats. but i think they turned out looking pretty good.

 

didnt ready through whole thread, but hoping someone will answer.
will the radio surround and ac bezel fit an 09? the ac vents look the same to me so im thinking it will?

is this only for 4x4?

 

My goodies arrived today. Though, I will probably wait until the weekend to install so I have enough time to do everything right.

so this will fit in the older 2nd gens?
i have an 09 with a double din radio( not stock) so id be able to get the ac bezel and im guessing id need the radio surround that fits the 13's too?

I think if you upgrade(d) to the newer years radio (12-15) it will. Not 100% sure though.

 

On your steering wheel controls, are the new ones the same as the old ones as far as buttons? Do all the new buttons work? I'd like to have the upgraded controls for my 2013 but I don't know if they swap over.

We'll I was thinking it'd work because I don't have a stock radio. I got a pioneer head unit so I'd just need a dash kit for the double din radio.
Another question: are these only available for 4x4 models?
I don't have a 4x4 truck.
If not then I'd be willing to buy someone's old ac bezel. The silver one

 

The ones pictured are the same as my old ones. Its basically plug and play. The only functions that don't work are left arrow,right arrow, voice command and it lighting up. The left and right arrows are not necessary for our stock radios and neither is the voice command. It not lighting up is not a big deal to me. but eventually might look into making it work.( i believe it just needs an extra ground?)

 

I think the ac bezels all have the cut out for the 4x4.

 

Wait till we get our Hiluxs installed dude then they will be the Jelly ones!!!

 

I would assume that since these panels are from the base model tacomas, and base of bases doesn't have 4x4, there should be a panel without 4x4 opening. Right @Titus_Will_Toyota?

 

I bought the AC bezel without the opening. I also bought a matte black radio bezel to match. I wont be attempting the swap until this weekend, but name your price and the silver AC bezel and the black pearl radio bezel are yours.

 

is this deal still going on?
