I actually haven't had much luck on tins, mostly jigs and jerk baits. I love the action on Acme cast masters though.

My favorite lure builder Garry of GRS lures matching a Bunker- Sea bass- Black fish and Hering
They come in different weight and either surface swim or the heavier ones deep dive

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Nice, I'll have to invest in some of those. What rod/reel combo do you have?

Needles and pencils work great for calm top water. Really cool to watch the fish hit them sometimes coming out of the water

I know I'm on the third coast but I caught a couple of these little guys in the surf last weekend.

I mainly use a 9' TFO 1-5 oz rod with a Van Stall vs150 reel 30lb braid if I'm fishing the back bay
In surf I use a 10' st Croix with a saragosa 8000 40 lb braid but this I also use for cut bait.

Anything is fun to catch if you have the tackle to match it. I am dying to use my fly rod on a tarpon trip
And nothing like reeling in a big striper after 15 minutes and it's just about landed when it strips the reel again.

The Grs plugs are very expensive if you can even find one. This is the reason why I bought a lathe and started making my own

Some good fish producing lure builders that are more affordable are Super Strike and Afterhours. Then once your hooked on plugs you may want to buy builders like GRS- Arsenal - Dmag. But I wouldn't even take one out of the bag if there was a bluefish blitz

I'm hooked on plugs for freshwater bass. I have yet to catch anything on a saltwater plug, however I need to expand my catalog also. I've only ventured into the saltwater lure realm last year.

If anyone is looking to save some money and have a little painting skill you can buy a lure kit and paint it to what ever color you wish. I believe they sell fresh water kits as well. Search Saltys lure kit.
