Here's with it on and I trimmed some of the flares off as well to the fender and already hammer my pinch weld back. I'm getting it ready for 315 75 r16 tires here as soon as the ones I got one goes bald.

That's what I did. It's a bit of an embellishment to say dive bomb, but it will feel incredibly soft up front and you will easily know that it's not supposed to be moving THAT much. Yes, it's probably not a good idea to have to do an emergency stop, but you can still physically drive.
My experience was from OME 885 with a bumper to adding a winch and needing 886 coils. If you are feeling good with your current could, you will definitely need changes.
How many miles do you have on the shocks? You may want to see if they are still good before ordering springs, they may be ready for replacement well

I believe I read in the OME thread that Bilstein doesn't recommend 886's with the 5100's. Something about the spring rate being to high for the valving in the shocks which could possibly damage them. Just something to consider and to look into a little more...

Yeah my 5100s are fairly new. I got 3k miles on them. I might just go without a bumper for now. I don't want to void the warranty. Just upgrade bumper and suspension at the same time later on.

Not a bad idea either. That's what I did. I waited till I did more research and just went with OME full kit. If you're looking to go icon is say save and wait that way you'll have no regrets if that's what you really want.

Yeah I'm just going wait and save for Icons. Not sure if they come with springs that can hold winch and bumper though.

What bumper are you looking at? The aluminum crash bar and stock bumper together weigh about 20 pounds. Both are removed. Aluminum bumper runs around 60 pounds. If you go aluminum you're only adding 40 pounds not including the winch. 885's should give you 2.5"

I want the Warn m8000 with CBI Dakar CGP bumper. CBI says the bumper alone is 100lbs.

I'm definitely gonna wait and get everything at once. In the meantime I jumped on the Wet Okole GB after Dan alerted me to it.

BTW Dan has my needle bearing puller. Just let him know when you do your front diff.

You can run a bumper just fine on stock springs, of course it depends on the bumper, i have OME springs and the are okay but honestly my personal opinion is progressive springs are better than linear. Not sure if a company makes aftermarket progressive springs for Tacomas but I read somewhere that stock could are progressive. what about tundra springs? They may provide increased spring rate and progressive coil for the best of both worlds.
