I parked in the stadium parking lot while visiting a few friends from college, walk out this morning to find this...IMG_1381.jpgI'm so pissed off.. I guess someone tried to back out and just hit me. I wouldn't be so mad if it was just a scratch but it's a dent.

Damn, I was thinking it would cost a good bit but hoping it really wouldn't. My luck honestly.

Of course it can be fixed.

I'll bet over $1k to do it right. Could push 1.5.

    Sorry man.

How much would a new door cost? That pisses me off. Some asshole who can't drive hits me.

I guess it's time to invest since people can't pull out of a spot.

They'd probably replace your door anyway.

Not an older vehicle with hard to find parts, and they can fit a new door in an hour and a half.

Body work and painting is harder earned money.

That really sucks. I'm prepping my Allpro Apex sliders for paint now.

Primary impact was at the crease which is well above where sliders would protect.

I'm a little confused though honestly. A plastic piece is missing from the splash guard or mudflap, I don't know what that is. So I am not sure if they backed out and hit me or pulled in and hit me.

Call some junkyards, maybe you'll get lucky and find a white one. If you can change it yourself you'd save money. It doesn't look horrible and I'm sure the door still functions so maybe wait it out a bit and see if you can locate a replacement.
Found you one, door will swap right over;http://www.ranchotoyotatruckparts.com/carpages/toy-2015-385.html

If I do go this route and it ends up being cheaper, what should I do about my speakers and everything? Can I just replace the metal on the door? Will I have to move my speakers into the new door?

You might be able to find a door from a part out somewhere but if you are thinking about just replacing the door id tear into it first and start banging the dent out and just see how well you can fix it, it looks pretty fixable to me honestly just gotta work it. It doesn't look creased but if it is then that may be a bit more difficult

That damage is not as easily repaired as you're leading him to believe.

There is a lot more to correcting that than "banging the dent out." I don't have the impression you've done body work before.

If you replaced the door, it'd be smarter to transfer all your stuff from your door to the new door. Unless the replacement was newer and in better condition, including components.
