Got some wheeling time in today. Great time and even better company was a blast.

 

Looks like a blast! Had to get my daily dose of 3rd gen! I'm not getting it from my baby for the second weekend in a row! She is sitting in a lonely offroad shop 25 miles away wth her dash torn apart, awaiting a new ECM which she may or may not even need! Oh how I long for the days when I could just peek out the back hallway door for just one last look before going to bed and knowing she was okay, snug as a bug. I was worried about this regear, like a favorite dog going in for surgery, but thought she was in good hands, so just tried to take it in stride. Then your worst fears come to light and your life seems all a miss! Right now all I have is memories and pictures!

 

I used a wire brush to remove the rust and used the included brake cleaner. No primer. The paint is self leveling and looks baked on.

Washed my truck and installed OPT 7 low beams

 

I added pin stripes.

How you like them? I did my OPT7 low beams and fogs last weekend.

Yep...it's all fun but I added those pin stripes to mine last weekend. Just spent 4 hours in the garage with a clay bar and a buffer getting them back out lol.

 

Would you mind posting pics on the process of removing the rear bumper end caps

 

It was worth it IMO.

Haha oh yeah! I put the fresh coat of wax on mine so she's ready for another wheeling trip!!
