I have a set but have not installed yet. I have them on TRD Trail Teams rims 7.5" wide.

They are gonna rub, till I lift/install UCAs...

285/75/16s and TRD Trail Teams rims 16/7.5!

On Stock set up currently, just a little rubbing when hitting a bump or dip on the front end. Will do lift soon but ok for around town.

Not touching the OEM UCAs. Black lugs ordered..

I would like to run this size tire on my stock 16 TRD OR. Would spacers help prevent rubbing? Or is a lift the only thing that will help?

I am not sure yet on the lift affects for rubbing. I have not lifted yet. But the good news is the OEM UCAs have plenty of room. I have already purchased SPC UCAs, not installed yet. But when I lift I will install the UCAs.

The rubbing is random on the front fender. I am most likly going with Demello's front bumper, so that rubbing would go away.

I think the unknown factor for me, is what type of rubbing will occur on trail with the cab mount, after lift.

A lift likely won't help the rubbing issue. It's more of a width issue, not a height issue. You'd need spacers to push them out from the UCAs

They aren't rubbing on the UCAs. The rubbing is on the fender front and potentially the Cab Mount in back at articulation.

Then you'll need to trim or do the cab mount chop, or both. That's the main reason I didn't go with 285's, didn't want to do any chopping of sorts on my new truck, yet. Next set of tire though I'll likely be going 285/75 or 255/85

Yep. Won't need to trim anything on front as Demello bumper will replace.

as mentioned the question will be after bumper and lift, will I need to do the Cab Mount chop. I did it when I went to 35s with my FJC. It was not as big a deal as once thought.

cut, replace with new plate, weld, paint black... You can't really even tell if you keep it all super clean when you cut/replace/paint.

    Here's mine, 285/70/17
Added 2in RC front spacer, 1.25 wheel spacers to clear rubbing on UCA's, trimmed small piece off of front fender wells. No more rubbing at wheel lock or reverse (also because I do all hwy driving, no off road). Will eventually do a CMC for when I do go on trails.

285/70/17 with offset rims and a 2.5/1.5 level kit. Rubs a little on the front air dam when I turn it. Should just need to be trimmed a little. If I were to do it all over again, I'd just have gone with 265's without a lift.

Based on previous posts, i am guessing 265/75R16 will be fine on 16" stock rims/suspension?

I'm not sure about stock rims. I put some 265/70/17's on a customer of mine's truck, and they worked fine with aftermarket rims. Looked great. Here is a pic of his truck. His ran $1700 at 4 wheel parts with pro comp tires. If your truck is new with hardly any miles, you should be able to sell your tires and rims for $400-$500 and offset the cost of new rims. The aftermarket rims sit out from the body more than the factory, plus the tires are wider. Here is a pic of the 265's with the factory suspension.

The red truck has a daystar 2.5/1.5 leveling kit. Had to trim the air dam.
