Used it as a workbench to finally sort some of the families tool collection into a real toolbox.... you never realize how many tools you have until you try to put them in a toolbox... i think ive got well over 200 sockets and i still have a milk crate of tools to sort

I like to use 1/2" carriage bolts. Just shave a tiny bit off the round part and it slides right in. Not exactly what you're asking for, but I've used it for a lot of things

the carriage bolts are an oustanding idea except the tire rack i'm mounting has pieces of angle iron on the ends that fit snugly down over the bed rails so i'm going to have to go the other way around and have the bolts come in from the inside of the bed and tighten into whatever is in the rails

3/8" spring nuts/Superstrut nuts pop right in and dont have to be slid in from the end, and if the spring bothers you its easily detached

IIRC Home Depot is the Go to place for them, but fastenal has fucking everything so id be suprised if they didnt have them. Also, the T-slot nuts can be gotten from fastenal, but they will most likely be special order. when i got mine they had to be special ordered in. also you just reminded me that i need to find that bag of nuts again... damn you lol

You can create your own custom ones by buying the appropriate sized aluminum flat bar, cutting it to length and drilling and tapping it.
